Couldn't agree more. its a bike one would have to ride a few times to decide if to buy or not where say for example a classic 350 just on eye appeal sells that bike

The CB looks great Warrior. I use emory cloth to reduce that exhaust coloring. That riding position on the hunter was hideous in comparison to the Scram or Himalayan. Gorgeous church in the background. We had 35 mile an hour gusts last week. If my neighbors flag resembles the one from the moon landings...I know it is to windy to ride.
@ridewithwarro
3 ай бұрын
nice looking church indeed. windy conditions sort of effect the smaller capacity bikes but this one ran better on the return with traction off. i will have to try that again under better riding conditions. exhaust header side i bought a produck from the usa which actually removed the blue from exhaust pipes. i might try it once it gets a bit worse...lol all the best!

Nice to see you humming along at 110 (indicated) if only briefly. Two quick questions: 1. Will it maintain 110 without wringing its neck? and 2. Is there any left if you need it for passing?

a hard ones to answer as i was doing a fair bit of gearchanging 4th/5th on the way out but i was into a bit of a head wind too. on the return run i ran with traction control off. i had no trouble at all running 100 kph on flat ground and doing it easy. lets see what happens when i get a good still day -traction off and see how it runs then

I pull 110 most of the time in the 110 zone from Walcha to the top of the range before it drops off to Wauchope. You can hit 120 at times but it takes a while to get there unless in 4th. Big hills still pull you up but holds in 4th half way between max power of 5,500 and max torque of 3,000 (4,000 seems to be the sweet power spot). 98% of my riding 2 up with windscreen and saddle bags as well Cheers Brian

@@brianrobertson639 i did give mine a quick burst today to 120 kph and like you say 4th is the key. overall these are really good bikes to ride but unfortunately i dont think will get the air play like the other 350's that could have been avoided i feel if we had got better colous too. ive seen some very nice examples in the honda hiness 350 range and a good spask of colour can make or break them must admit too. pick from start to 100 kph is pretty good too

@@ridewithwarro Thanks for the extra info Brian. I can feel myself slowly getting drawn to get one... I guess there isn't much left for overtaking at the speeds you mention. Main thing for me would be keeping up with the B doubles if you have to ride a highway for a bit. I've measured their speed at 105 to 108 actual, so the bike needs to sit on a true 108 to avoid having them come up your clacker. On secondary highways if you can't do that it's' dangerous when trucks come up behind you, as often there's not much opportunity to pull over safely.

Hi Warro My exhaust has a fair bit of colour at 4,700 ks now. Today took the girl for a 2 up test after fitting the 13 tooth front sprocket. Completely different bike to ride. One section of NEngland highway I change back to 4th on 4 Occasions this time 5th at 95 to 100 kph. Even although the revs are not that greater difference seems to hit the sweet spot. STD 14 tooth 3,700. 13 tooth 3,960 @ 100 kph. Took ages to find a sprocket but 13 tooth for Honda XR600 1991 to 2000 fits the bill. You may not have to but I removed approx 1mm from the outside of the attachment bracket where the 6mm bolts locate the sprocket in place. (Ridge on sprocket to the inside and flat outside. Check that sprocket has 4 holes as GB uses the offset pattern. For $29.50 delivered I now have a bike that was good to even better. You may even feel your on Ernie. Holds 70 ks in restricted areas 5th no chain snatch now. Got mine from MXstore free delivery. For $30 I feel you will enjoy not changing gear all the time 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🏍 Cheers Brian

hard call there as i actually like both. if your chasing old school looks and feel go the classic 350 if you want a bike which looks more mid 70's but has duel channel abs plus traction control go the gb350 gb350 does perform better and more nimble to ride so like i said hard call. i think whatever you chose you'll be happy as both are nice bikes
