We're experiencing what experts are calling a "strong" El Nino year. El Nino is a weather phenomenon resulting from warmer than usual waters in the Pacific Ocean. Atmospheric / weather conditions are interconnected with ocean currents and temperatures. With a strong El Nino, the effects are more prevalent. It's warmer than usual in the Southwestern parts of the United States while it is colder than usual elsewhere.
In this update, I focus on some of the plants that have continued to produce for us during this warmer than usual period. Things like tomatoes, filet beans, peppers, and bitter melon to name a few.
