These rally videos have been wonderful. Great footage, and so cool to see many W’s together at once!

You had more W's at the rally than I've seen in Australia, in total, in the last 25 years! And I'm not joking! Good luck next year and thank you for the content.

Wowza! I have no idea why this bike has turned out to be such a rare bike outside of Japan.

@@bigbluemotorbikedog This will make you laugh. There are 15 "W's" advertised in our major motorcycle classifieds, today. There are 4,474 Harley Davidsons advertised along side them. A lot of the W650's that you used to see advertised were 99 or 2000 models. Triumph came along and that was the end of them. I've got a 2015 W800. I absolutely love it. It wouldn't be my first choice to travel the country on, but to run around town on or to go on a quiet Sunday ride on the back roads on, it's unbeatable.

@@davidbrayshaw3529 I agree the W800 is a very polite and well mannered Motorbike that works best in town and two lane highways. Bewildered by how unpopular they are.

Great to see videos of the 1st annual W800 rally. I hope I can get away and participate next year. I camped at the state camp site at Smuggler's Notch in October once (Canadian Thanks Giving). Woke up to two inches of snow on the ground. I remember a guy with a travel trailer trying to get through the Notch. As I commented on one of your short videos I have never seen another W of any kind on the road in my two years of W800 ownership. Here in Ottawa we have either Harley or sport bike enthusiasts but they all come over to look at my W800. I was the only W series bike at the Ride for Dad prostate cancer poker run this year and we had about 1200 bikes. I don't know why the W800 is not more popular. It's such an easy bike to live with.

I agree that the Kawasaki W Series is an extremely polite motorbike, easy to handle, easy to work with, absolutely stunning in its appearance, and that motor! I just don't get why they didn't fly off the showroom floors. Thank you for commenting, would be great to see you next year at the Rally!

Can't get a new one in the UK presently. My work colleague has one, and ex driving school one with about 30k miles on it. Still polishes up well.

That's a major drag that they've been pulled from the UK Market, my guess is the ever-tightening EU emissions standards but that's only a guess. Seems there is plenty to be had on the secondhand market. Nice that you still see them!

@@bigbluemotorbikedog The hypocrisy in the UK is that bikers pay a disproportionately large "vehicle excise duty" tax which is supposed to be based on real world emissions. However, rather than use the actual emissions figures from the manufacturer which comply to the EU emissions standards, it's based on an assumption using only the cubic capacity of the engine. In truth though I've no idea why Kawasaki have chosen not to release them this year, it could be because the Bonnies are boringly rife, as I think the British market tends to be more trend driven. Bonnies are also better supported here in terms of cheapo bolt on parts etc... With that being said I'm one of a handful of proud W owners, and I love your rally and wish you huge success for any future meet ups!

@@bigbluemotorbikedog I think so. There are about 10 events a season for classic motorcycle owners and dozens for all bikers)
