Hey there - current Tesla owner here and am considering adding the EV9 to replace my Highlander but I am wondering about road noise in the KIA. My model YLR is great to drive but the ride quality and road noise is very disappointing to say the least. I couldn’t tell from your test drive but do appreciate your video. Keep us posted on real world battery efficiency as you continue to drive it Thanks

Cabin noise is considerably quieter than my Model S. Hard to tell from the video, but check out around 8:05 in the video when I exit the car, you can hear the difference pretty well.

Does the ride quality bother you still? (In terms of the suspension and handling bumps)

Thanks for the videos about the EV-9. I hope to retire sometime in 2024 and am interested in purchasing an SUV EV. (LOL!) As I've been a beneficiary of driving a corporate car for the past 25 years in California, I can't bear the thought of having to personally buy gas at our prices. I appreciate your impressions of the EV-9's build/driving quality along with its cabin noise (or lack thereof). As a (former?) Tesla owner, are you able to compare the two on those issues? Finally, I'd appreciate seeing a video of your impressions if/when you take it out on a road trip as my only misgivings about non-Tesla EV's at the moment are the various non-Tesla charging networks. Understand that might have to wait till spring/summer in your region. Thanks again.

Hi Stuart thanks for the comment. I still have my Tesla which is my daily driver. I’ll post a comparison video between the two soon.

Hey this information is very useful. Looking for an all electric 3 row in about 6-8 months when our gas 3 row lease is up. Prob gonna be between a model y 7 seater. And the wind awd EV9. Seeing you have had both Tesla and Kia EVs which would be better? Right now with no money down and 7500 lease credit the model Y will be cheaper.

I would say that for your first electric vehicle a Tesla is the move considering the advantage in software and the superior charging network. However the Model Y is considerably smaller than the EV9, especially the third row.

@@mattscinto yeah forgot to mention I’ve had a original Hyundai ioniq before and now have a polestar 2. And yes I have to wrestle with the fact we could save money but have a much smaller 3rd row. Would be my first Tesla though. Could never find a EV for 3 kids though until this year. Definitely gonna look at a EV9 though. We are currently leaning toward the Tesla right now.

Hey thanks for the vids I’m thinking of getting the awd or the rw long range if you had to choose the model y long range or ev 9 awd ? I’m Toronto it’s 64,000 for awd and model y here is 67000 and we get 5000 off with the incentive here thanks

I’m definitely a Tesla guy at heart but I’d say it really depends on which vehicle fits your preferences. If you do a lot of traveling I would say get the Tesla for the convenience of the charging network. Check out my latest video where I compare the two.

Yea it’s more just for daily commute work home and honestly and Tesla opening the chargers is tempting but love the new model 3 and rumours now the Model y refresh is coming sooner so many good choices now for Evs coming from a Prius c by the way lol

Imagine trusting Kia to make a quality electric vehicle. This thing is going to be a complete s$%tbox in a few years.
