I’m here at Chuckawalla Raceway, out here in the desert well east of Los Angeles, driving the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato. But I’m not just driving it on the pavement you see here. I’m also driving it on the sand you see all around me, because that's what this car is meant to do. What Lamborghini did was it elevated the Huracan's clearance by about 1.7 inches and they also added width to its track. You can see we’ve got little extra bodywork going on here. These wheels are sticking out a little further, and we’ve got quite aggressive off-road Bridgestone tires serving to give you grip when you leave the pavement. Yes, once again, leave the pavement purposefully, not accidentally, in your Huracan Sterrato. After several laps around this track, including purposeful off-road driving and rallying, in both Sport and Rally mode, it’s very clear to me that this vehicle is designed to do exactly what I just did and it does it quite well. There’s a softer suspension setting to this vehicle, which you might think makes it slower or feel less confident, but it’s actually perfect. It talks to you extremely clearly. You’re driving this vehicle around this track and you leave the pavement and it continues to talk to you. And in Rally mode, you're hammering the throttle, doing some counter steering, and doing exactly what you wanna do. Having fun and controlling the car through these off-road sweeping turns. It really works quite well, you wouldn’t imagine that taking a Huracan off-road in any form would be good. It would just be bad bad bad. But Lamborghini is clearly having fun with this vehicle. They created the Sterrato for just that purpose. And believe it or not, it works really well. It's not just capable, it’s actually quite fun, more fun than I would’ve ever thought I could have going off-road in a Lamborghini supercar.
This is Karl Brauer and thanks for watching.
