On this special evening, Law Women continued their tradition of honoring distinguished alumnae who have been groundbreakers in the field of law. The 2024 Law Women Alumna of the Year Award was presented to Sandra Park ’02, Chief of the Civil Rights Bureau, New York State Office of the Attorney General, in recognition of her distinguished service and extraordinary commitment to advancing women at NYU and in the law.
Law Women gives a voice to women's concerns at NYU School of Law. They accomplish their mission in a variety of ways, both within and without the NYU Law community:
We provide academic counseling and advice to female law students, including peer counseling, tutoring, and academic resources.
We facilitate networking and mentorship opportunities with NYU alumnae and the broader women's legal professional community through networking events and professional development panels.
We organize social activities for both men and women within the law school, including community service opportunities and collaborations with a variety of student groups.
We advocate for women's rights on the national and international stages, actively bringing attention on campus to important issues women face in the world today.
