@vincentlittrell6845

@@rizzomatt Agreed, his resistance to being turned was amazing, but after that he didn’t seem to me to have the same “fire” and focus. You can watch Dave Schultz do the same move on Kenny Monday in their 1988 Olympic trials matches, and Monday kept his focus despite Schultz’ brutal execution of that move. Their trials matches are on KZitem. I think Brooks’ loss today was-as is mentioned elsewhere in these comments-a lack of experience loss. My two cents anyway.

Brooks beat Taylor fair and square... with that said, if Taylor were there, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
@aryanmobiny7340

The U.S. Olympic trials had a significant issue that needs to be addressed. Taylor was literally practicing at his own pace for a WHOLE YEAR (he claimed he was gardening at home!), and then he had to compete against Brooks in the trials. This was not an organic process for a wrestler. Taylor should have been more actively involved in wrestling competitions throughout the year to prepare adequately.
@Not-the-only-one

It’s up to Taylor to compete, not the US Olympic committee. That responsibility lies solely on Taylor.
@aryanmobiny7340
Ай бұрын
@@Not-the-only-one I didn't blame the US olympic committee mate, and I don't agree that it is the wrestler's fault. My point is that the process is broken and needs to be revisited because it is too safe for the top guy who goes directly to the third round. This has been happening over and over again.
