CarPlay Apple maps will go to the driver’s display when you start navigating. One of the very few cars that offer this.

You are correct, I was wrong in the video. I wasn’t in the display mode that would have allowed the map to show behind the steering wheel, but it does have the capability. Thank you for pointing that out.

Great review Michael some very good points that reviewers don’t get across such as the proper Google interface into your account so you can ask it anything. I live in Australia and have the MY24 LRSM and have found it to be a superb car. Quality is excellent and highly recommended all round. Just wish I had the Nappa Leather as it is cooler than the Weave Tech.

Thank you for the compliment, I’m glad that was helpful, I was really impressed with the Google voice commands. Good to know about WeaveTech, I’d actually choose cloth over those or as you said, the cooled Nappa. Maybe they will perforate WeaveTech in the future, that may provide at least some improvement.

You make a good point. If I could design my PS2 how I wanted, it would also be RWD with the brembo brakes, Ohlins dampers, and possibly the gold seatbelts. I do not need the gold, but the suspension and brakes would be wonderful in the RWD car. I also wish it had an opening sunroof like the V and S 60. I am not a fan of Air Conditioning, so being able to open the roof would be wonderful. I use the sunroof in my car all year and I do not live far from DC. And colour.. Volvo and Polestar need more colours than the drab paints they use now.

Totally agree on that build, and hey you could probably swap those gold seatbelts with someone and make a little money! I’m not sure with that unobstructed glass design they could even have an opening moonroof until maybe the next generation. Also, yes, we need actual colors in our paint options!

Honestly one of the bet Polestar 2 reviews out there and I've seen quite a lot them. Not sure why this one didn't get more views but KZitem is a weird place sometimes. Few things to note, as someone else pointed out already, Apple Maps extends all over the gauge cluster once you use it, unfortunately it doesn't get the battery information and can't do EV routing in the Polestar. Apple Maps can do it, but Polestar hasn't implemented it, let's hope this will change in the future. One thing to note is that if you use Google Maps to navigate to a charger the car will pre-heat the battery so you can charge with the maximum speed right off the bat. In Europe the Dual Motor cars have the new battery as well, I have no idea why they did you dirty like that in the US. I agree that Single Motor is probably the way to go because of the range, I get mine as a company car and in order to get some extra discount I had to settle for an existing pre-configured car so I got it in time and I had to go with the Dual Motor. I mean at least it's fun. I find it super weird when people are talking about leather seats and that the animals were treated humanly. It's leather, it's skin from dead animals, the animals were killed for those seats, just own that and don't wash your conscience with some "the animals had a good life" BS. No offense. Design-wise I have to disagree with you, the Polestar 2 is one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen, it stands out, it just looks gorgeous. The Polestar 3 and 4 are just some cars, they look okay but they can't match the beauty of the Polestar 2. For some reason the design team just nailed it with the Polestar 2 and just couldn't repeat it with the newer models. I just prefer the exposed grill on the pre-2024 models to that new SmartZone design. As stated, very good review, great overview over the car.

Thank you for watching, your compliment made my day. I’m still the “little guy” in the world of KZitem and am still in the early stages of subscriber growth so that’s possibly why I don’t get suggested like the more seasoned accounts. Thank you for pointing out the Apple Maps full-screen capability, I am always learning and appreciate the note on that. Amazing that the 2 is your company car, I’d keep working for them cause that’s a great perk! Over time, the design of the 2 of the car has grown on me, some angles I love and others I’m not entirely sure, and I do love boxy because I learned to drive on an ‘85 Volvo 740 GLE. I think the Polestar 2 just sits a bit too high, obviously because of the battery that’s packed in down below. It will be very interesting to see what the design of the cars successor will look. Thanks again for commenting, and feel free to share the review or channel!

Just a heads up I know you said the performance comes with all season tires, it doesn't, only summer tires, at least in the U.S.

@MichaelDrivesOfficial not even sure man, pretty sure you said it before the test drive when you were talking about the car that you got to test came equipped with snow tires and then you mentioned it doesn't come that way from the dealer and actually comes with all season tires

No CD player in the Polestar, and unfortunately, none of the colors are very exciting, all very muted.
