Happy Cillian is going to end up winning the Oscar. Happy we have a race in at least one acting category. There’s a lot of weird division between stans of the two actresses, but they are both in my top 5 favorite performances of the year and both are worthy of the award. I wish people could just chill out and be happy for them both

I think many experts forgot that fellow actors respect Cillian a lot. People felt that Paul has been in the industry for so long and forgot that Cillian had been in the business too for decades and he is also well loved. Cillian is even well loved because of Peaky Blinders, yes its not an Emmy award winning series yet a lot of people and voters love this series. Cillian won because he truly gave one of the most amazing performances this year as playing Oppenheimer is truly challenging. I think most people were cheering for Paul because it played into their heartstrings same what I felt for Viggo at Greenbook. But SAG, BAFTA and Oscars would vote for whom they felt truly gave the best actor thats why Rami Malek won over Viggo. On the other hand, I can feel that Gladstone will win because of her narrative and her performance. Its not about who has the biggest nor the loudest role who will automatically win. Its not about the screentime, i mean Anthony Hopkins won for Silence of the Lambs. Even in 2019 when Glenn Close has more screentime over Olivia Colman who felt to me a supporting role because Rachel Weisz is the lead, still Colman won. I still believe that the industry and the academy voters will both give the wins to both Cillian and Lily especially we shouldn’t forget that Oscar members now are very diverse and has a lot of international voters.

I don't pay as much attention to the TV awards, but I do know that Succession has been dominating. Haven't seen the show but I did watch The Last of Us and thought both Pedro and Bella were great. Very glad he won, and it was a surprise even to someone like me, who is not really tuned into the TV side of things. On the film side, Lily Gladstone was the surprise of the night... I had predicted Paul Giamatti but was not at all surprised that Cillian won. I WAS surprised to see Lily pick up a win. I believe this is the first time she has actually beat Emma in a major awards show. So yea - it's not 50/50 exactly, but at least we have a competition now instead of everything being so predictable. What I AM curious about, but we'll never know.... how things might have been different if Dune 2 came out when originally planned. I'm not sure it would have had much effect on the acting categories, but it surely would have rivaled Oppenheimer for a lot of the tech awards... and perhaps even Best Picture or Director, if one or more of the actors managed to snag a nomination. Next year is a long way off, but so far... it feels like Dune 2 will dominate next year the same way Oppenheimer is right now.

Very excited but nervous for Best Picture since they been sweeping but with Oscars just love to trick with our emotions and again I will expect the lose’s that might happen but I trust the academy they could give to the Oppenhomies!! ❤🎉 How about Pedro and his speech. “I going have a panic attack and gotta leave” 😂😂😂😂

And Meryl Streep is widely considered the greatest living actress although her and Frances McDormand go back and forth. The difference is that you’re trying to compare Emma Stone to one of the goats. Streeps wins are for Sophie’s Choice, Kramer vs Kramer and the Iron Lady. Emma Stone won for dancing with Ryan Gosling in Cali and now she’s nominated for overacting a role as a dead chick. Doesn’t her resume kind of fly in the face of the whole strong independent woman image you guys peddle? And I like Emma Stone don’t get it twisted but Lily Gladstone did something else entirely this year imo. She played a historically relevant person not to mention she basically steals Flower Moon from two of the biggest Male names in acting history.

As much as I loved KOTFM and Gladstones's performance in it (I traditionally love subtle acting), I can't help but be SHOCKED by the fact there is a chance Emma Stone will not win the Oscar. That was a once in a lifetime performance. What she did in Poor Things goes beyond acting into just some other strange realm of being someone/something completely different than anyone has ever seen before. She is funny, she is sad, she is dramatic, the performance is physical, the performance has lots of inner moments, the performance is sexy, the performance shows a whole arc from "newborn child" to strong empowered adult female. Not to downgrade Gladstone's performance, because I do love it, but it is made up of soft looks with her eyes, quivering wavers in her voice, some tears when she is sick, and a few "angry" moments. I don't like doing THIS but Gladstone could not do what Stone did in Poor Things, and yet Stone could very well do what Gladstone did in KOTFM. And let's be honest: Gladstone is the SUPPORTING performer in that movie, supporting Leo's work. Emma Stone IS her movie.

Congratulations to Cillian Murphy, who also deserves the Oscar. Bradley Cooper can't win, because Maestro presents a distorted version of Bernstein, whose reputation is based on a false narrative from the sacred cow coverage in the press. I posted a new video on my KZitem channel titled THE BERNSTEIN EFFECT that explains the collateral damage he caused to the arts. I studied with one of his friends, Ivan Davis, who also performed with him. His stunts and scams were part of my education. He ruined the way symphonies and concertos are performed and his teachings eliminated the development of processing variables in bigger and bigger batches, which destroyed the intellectual development of conductors, pianists and composers. This ruined classical music as an art form and a business. Most of the classical recordings are now vanity records. I explain who's making the vanity records and who's paying for it.

Those who are waiting for a Stunt category at the Oscars will be waiting a very long time. The Academy has no Stunt branch. The only reason Casting was added is that the president of the former Casting Society is the outgoing head of the Academy and has been lobbying for years for a Casting award. They have to build a branch before stunts will come.

I'm sorry but after watching Emma Stone in Poor Things, Lily's performance feels so so inferior. And can we put an end to this 'she's too young to win 2 nd oscar' shit? When you give a performance like Bella Baxter, you are bound to win everything. That transformation and growth. I haven't seen in a while from an actress. Fuck Gladstone', give Emma the Oscar is my opinion. Lily is just very lucky. She has Scorsese and DiCaprio, 2 biggest names in the industry, behind her campaigning. That's how in the first place she got the lead actress thing. She's clearly supporting and no matter how good she is, people need to own up to it. But lately Oscar has been giving narratives win more than talent. So yeah, maybe they will award Gladstone but truly, if we are talking talented performances it's between 3 to me: Stone Huller and Lee( Lee's subtle performance was way more impactful and humane to me than Gladstone. Just because Song is new and upcoming, Lee didn't get much recognition this year. But in true sense, her performance in Past Lives was a tour de force. And also Sandra Huller, I'm so happy. She also gave a breathtaking performance. Unfortunately, talents have to see narratives win.)
