In stark contrast to last year, the 2024 storm season has been largely uneventful for the plains of Colorado and Kansas. I only managed to document one definite tornado, a short-lived landspout on May 29 near Byers, CO. However, I also got to see a lot of severe weather phenomena that I hadn’t seen before, such as a wind-sculpted supercell and a flash flood.
The season’s not over just yet, but I will be taking a break for awhile as I’ll be in Italy until early July, then working a full-time job through mid-August. If I get any more tornadoes or crazy storms, I’ll upload them.
