Well, this was exhausting, but worth every hour! In this video I demonstrate a VATSIM flight from Vienna to Chicago in the Horizon 787-9. We take the time to explore all of the intricacies of operating in the VATSIM environment while conducting a very long NAT Track flight with all of its technical challenges. It was a great time, never perfect, but a wonderful time. This stuff is incredible!

I went over to P3D for the PMDG 777 as I was a real 777 Captain, and flying several aircraft on MSFS was affecting my job performance. On the other hand, flying the 777 on P3D actually helped me at work. No rap on P3D, as I really loved the honesty and performance accuracy of the study level PMDG 777. However, I am trying to build a following, and MSFS is by far the most followed.
I am looking for an aircraft to fly during Cross the Pond Eastbound in late October. The event is sponsored by VATSIM, and it has fully staffed ATC for the entire transatlantic experience. Very cool.
I am a 1958 vintage pilot with over 21,000 flight hours. I currently reside in Connecticut. I am a 1980 US Air Force Academy graduate and a seven-year Air Force instructor pilot. I have flown for a major US Airline since 1987 and I retired in September of 2023. I have been type-rated in the MD-80, B-737, B-757, B-767, B-777, A-300-600 and the MD-11. I am a recently retired (9/6/23) 777 Captain.
I have traveled the world and I have come to the conclusion that there is no place like home. It's been a great ride. I am very new to the MSFS and P3D world and I love it. Please feel welcome to offer any advice that you deem helpful.
