I thought I would describe why my riding has improved. As a long term road rider I was making a big mistake as a new track rider and running off consistently each time I tried to improve my lap times.
I was trying to reach corner speed before turning in. I was trying to brake too violently, missing my turn in point and running on.
The solution was to turn into the apex no matter what the speed. Then focus further down the track as soon as possible. It sounds simple but it took this old fella a long time to learn these lessons.
Braking point determines corner speed. Where I'm going determines the lean angle.
