2025 Mazda CX-70 Hybrid: A New Star in Mazda's Lineup
Get ready to meet the newest addition to Mazda's lineup, the 2025 CX-70 Hybrid.
What's New for 2025?
Despite its similar look to the CX-90 Hybrid, the CX-70 Hybrid is a fresh face in Mazda's 2025 lineup.
Pricing and Which One to Buy
The 2025 Mazda CX-70 Hybrid starts at $55,855, with top trims reaching $58,905. Available in two trims, Premium and Premium Plus, the entry-level Premium is a smart choice. It’s packed with features like leather seats, power-adjustable heated front seats, a digital gauge display, 21-inch wheels, a 12-speaker Bose stereo, and a head-up display.
But what about its performance? Let’s dive in.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
Under the hood, the CX-70 Hybrid shares its plug-in powertrain with the CX-90, delivering a combined 323 horsepower from an inline four-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor. An eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive ensure smooth handling. Expect plenty of power for city and highway driving, with the electric motor offering a decent electric-only range. Once we test drive the CX-70 Hybrid, we’ll share our detailed impressions.
0-60 MPH Times
We haven’t tested the CX-70 yet, but with its similarities to the CX-90, expect a swift 0-60 mph time of around 5.9 seconds.
Range, Charging, and Battery Life
Equipped with a 17.8-kWh battery pack, the CX-70 Hybrid can charge from 20 to 80 percent in about 90 minutes on a 240-volt connection. The CX-90 Hybrid achieved around 26 miles of electric-only driving, and we anticipate similar performance from the CX-70 Hybrid.
The 2025 Mazda CX-70 Hybrid blends style, performance, and efficiency. Stay tuned for more updates as we put this new hybrid through its paces.
