Omg. You clearly have no concept of marketing. The cost of deleting a third row is considerably greater than you think. First the cost of changing all of the interior plastics, then building a flat load floor and storage underneath, then make style changes on the outside of the vehicle as well as interior changes that make it unique to its name as well as modifying wiring and all of the R&D to ensure crash performance and quality. Everything has to be scalable and linked to coding and vin numbers. That's just the beginning. If you really want to complain about something, complain about outdated C.A.F.E standards. Nobody talks about it but that's why we don't have a cx60 with an i6turbo engine and we likely won't. I hate to see people complain about things they don't understand instead of learning a thing or two.

@@zzoinks Basically, a lot of brands justify their flagship stuff, which sometimes loses money or breaks even on a per-car-sold basis, by treating them as "halo cars" that result in sales of other models. It works. The Mazda Miata sells CX-5's, and the Porsche 911 sells Macans. They can't justify the low volume sporty cars without a business case, and the business case becomes using the idea of them to move the high profit volume products.
