I know some people don't like the dial but after using it for a while i love it , i would be the small percent that would not have my phone hooked up , because i would prefer the dial over touch screen.

The lower front fascia should have fog lights. Other than that its great looking. Lets hope Mazda offers more than black & sand for their interiors. I know you can get red on the CX-90 Premium Plus Turbo S. The CX-70 should have red, blue, & combo colors of blk/red, blue/blk, white/red etc.

Does the interior color change depending on the color of the car? I like the rotary dial. Classic

Yes. Black, beige and red are also other options

Tomorrow, I have an appointment to test drive an Acura MDX Type S.. This Mazda CX-70 is also on my test drive list. My 2021 Highlander Platinum Hybrid lease is almost up, and it only has 16,500 miles on it. I'm trying to decide if I should just buy out my current lease or, after 14 years of being a loyal Toyota customer, switch to a different manufacturer that offers a fun drive with a more luxurious interior. Hmmmmm

That's a tough choice, all 3 are great options. But I will say the MDX Type S is a VERY fun vehicle to drive. I haven't driven the other two though

I disagree with the cars you cite as "competition", while the price ranges are similar, it seems the CX 70 (as well as the 90) are trying to compete with the luxury brands by being a more affordable and car-like offering, rather than a "truckified" mini vans you mentioned.

Okay, let's use Hyundai/Kia as an example. Their three 2-row midsize SUVs are the Santa Fe, Sorento, and the Genesis GV80. You think the GV80 is the CX-70's competition and not the other 2? The fully loaded CX-70 in this video is $59K and a fully loaded GV80 is well over $80K. Sure, it does have the nicest interior in the segment, but the CX-70 costing about $7-9K more than the Kia and Hyundai doesn't put it into the luxury car category. And I'm not sure what you mean by being more "car-like" than the others because at 200" long, the CX-70 is a bigger vehicle than all the others I mentioned in the video. And after having driven the fully loaded GV80 and the fully loaded CX-90 (identical interior and powertrain to CX-70) back-to-back in the same day, neither the drive nor the interior quality of the CX-70 can hold a candle to the GV80.

@@OpticalAutomotive Like I said, luxury as in design and performance not price...Carlike in that it's not a boxy, 4-cylinder turbo, family mover ... It seems to me that they're trying to eke out their own niche as a bargain alternative to cars like the Genesis, BMW, Volvo, ect. While, of course, the 70 and 90 can't literally surpass autos costing 30-40-50% more, Mazda is producing Japanese made, stylish, and reliable offerings resembling an X-7 more than a Pilot

@@OpticalAutomotiveAlso please do research before posting these vids, not only does the Mazda not use any piano black whatsoever, that’s actually real open pore wood! You claimed it wasn’t wood or metal. It’s real open pore wood not fake wood
