The Rivian R1S and R1T are refreshed for 2025, adding an 850-hp Tri Motor model and improved batteries, including a new lithium-iron-phosphate Standard pack.
All electric motors are now built in-house by Rivian, with the revised Quad Motor model now making 1025 horsepower and 1103 pound-feet of torque.
The new second-gen R1S and R1T also receive tweaked chassis, updated lighting elements, and enhanced driver assists-base prices are lower in some cases too.
Pricing
With the new Standard LFP battery, the 2025 Rivian R1S Dual Motor starts at $77,700 ($1000 more than before). The Large battery pushes that price to $84,700, and the Max pack starts at $91,700. Those are both cheaper than their 2024 predecessors, when the Dual Motor and Large pack starting at $85,800, and the Max version starting at $95,800. Then there's the new Max Pack Tri Motor model that starts at $107,700. Rivian hasn't yet released pricing for the R1S Quad Motor, which last year had a $93,800 base price.
The 2025 Rivian R1T with dual motors and the standard-size battery starts at $71,700 (same as before). The Large and Max pack versions now start at $78,700 and $85,700, respectively. Compare that with their counterparts from last year: $80,800 for the Dual Motor Large pack and $90,800 for the Max version. The new R1T Tri Motor with the biggest battery starts at $101,700, but we don't yet know how much the Quad Motor will cost. The prior version started at $88,800.
The R1S Dual Motor is now on sale, and the R1T version is on its way. The Tri Motor variants are coming this summer, with the Quad Motors arriving sometime after that.
