I use starlink from an American company as the LNP government totally failed to deliver NBN to my area and they crippled it, in the 10 years they were in power. starlink is faster (I get around 280 MegaBits). Obviously I would prefer to pay Australians for my internet but it seems most Australian businesses specialize in rent seeking, price gouging and creating monolopies in cahoots with the government.

NBN: 10Gbps Transit Backhaul are in use where I am (AFAIK), not sure how they would even support many 1Gbps users. I just want 100/40 that I saw advertised initially! AUSSIE BB: My brother is on Aussie BB, their DNS servers aren't worth a pinch of salt as he could not complete a simple lookup and they time out a lot. This isn't a commercial grade service that's for sure. Hire someone who actually knows how to scale DNS Aussie BB!

I contacted ABB after the price changes. I went for 100/40, ABB put me on 50/20 as my lines (still) don't support 100/40. Aussie's response was, they mentioned something, bullshit about SAU with a bunch of links etc. I can't eat SAU's. They considered the matter closed and they will do nothing but continue to embrace bandwagon and appeal to authority logical fallacies. Tried to find an email for NBNco. To discuss their wholesale prices. ABB said it was their fault. Found an old email address. "We don't monitor this inbox anymore". I don't want to call them or contact them on social media. What I'm inquiring about has nothing to do with my RSP's prices, I already contacted ABB about them. I just wanna talk. Then I tried to find an email address for the finance minister, same thing. Companies and politicians seem to have FAR too many similarities. Divide, conquer, ignore transparency, accountability and responsibility, no ethics or morals, only doing the "right thing" when public backlash demands it. I remember when technology was cool. Anyone got any spare Commodore 64's laying around?

I churned to Supercrap so I could change from the 3 year old FTTN connection and get FTTP and as soon as the 6 month reduced price period was over I churned back to my previous ISP/RSP. Had more disconnects from Supergarbage in the first two weeks that I did with the ISP that I had been with for previous *sixteen years.* I wish you well with them and hope they are better for you than me.

We've been asking for optical fibre for years. As we've already got cable with gigabit speeds (1000/50) NBN refuse to give us optical fibre. The faster upload speeds and faster ping times are what we'd like. We're currently with Optus... who have been great (very reasonable prices)... all except for this. It's particularly annoying as I keep going to houses that have optical fibre... but are on slow speeds. Most houses with optical fibre don't even realise they've got it. We're only 14 km from the CBD. 😞

long time since i last saw your videos, seems alot is going into the upgrade which is nice and scares me about some businesses that may advise about the free upgrade without letting the customers know about the min plans available, i still think its going to be great having 100 be the new min or avg
@SadieKiller604

I recieved an upgrade notice in mail and checked the website telling me that i was only eligible for 'fixed wireless' (this was roughly back in 2018-2019) so at the time we had a technician come to the house to prep for the upgrade, but apparently there's no signal or not a strong enough signal for the upgrade, so i never go NBN of any kind because it say "available" but it's not REALLY available, if ya get what i mean, so i'm stuck on ADSL2, but average speeds are just higher than 1.5MB down, so i can't complain too much, cause i know i can be a LOT worse, i've been there
@josephking6515

I read that people around 10km from the Adelaide CBD could still only get ADSL2+. That is bloody ridiculous. I got FTTN in 2018. The green box was 1.5 metres from my back fence but it was a copper run of 525 metres to the pit in my driveway plus another 20 metres to the First Point. Three years later they pulled optic fibre through the suburb. WTF? My nbn was rolled out twice in 3 years and you are stuck on ADSL2+. That is just so wrong.

3 Feb 2024 and the price of milk at Coles in Melbourne is now *$2.00* per litre or if you purchased 3 litres on Special, *$5.95* for the Coles "brand." Wow 10Gbps Down so I imagine it will be 20Mbps Up or maybe 50 as per the 1Gb plan? Can anyone tell me why the *nbn Co* wankers give residential users such a far king slow Upload speed? NZ has been crapping all over Oz with their vastly superior speeds, especially their Upload speed for 7 or 8 years now. My understanding is that they will gradually upgrade parts of the wireless network to FTTP over time, particularly regional towns that have not been done yet. Guess it's a matter of NBNCo having the revenue streams from existing services to fund those upgrades from metropolitan customers on FTTP as they get upgraded.

Maybe if they hadn't wasted so much money on management bonuses, hundreds of millions of $$$ on copper line to fix the broken system they purchased from Hellstra, the $$$ wasted trying to get Co-ax to play nice with Foxtel signal on the same cable and more millions $$$ wasted buying the Optus co-ax that was incompatible with everything. Nbn were told there would be massive issues but instead they wasted *billions of taxpayer dollars* and rewarded themselves with stupid high salaries and undeserved bonuses for failed and under preformed progress.
