Eggs laid less than an hour ago are breakfast today....on Day 17 of the 21 Day Chick Hatching Adventure. It is raining so hard, Lily goat does not want to leave the barn...and the chickens probably wish they were ducks! We meet Peppermint, a Black Copper Maran chicken that had an operation to remove a baseball size ball of hay and grass from her crop and learn a little about sour crop and a compact crop and how you can help your chicken if they get it. We check in on the 6 broody hens....to see how they are doing and move all of the eggs from the big incubator, into two small ones...to get ready for chicks hatch. We are way behind in building the new chicken coop....always a busy day on The Rainbow Eggs Farm.
