I'm just now watching 21 jump street for the first time as a 36 year old woman in 2021. I can honestly say it's really good. Back in the late 80s, I can totally understand how this show was such a hit. Compared to netflix binging, this show holds it's own. Albeit dated in ways, It holds the test of time. The entire cast was physically gorgeous and the body of work that went into the entire show was on point.

I had re-watched the series recently and remembered Ioki always had a big badass head of hair, and dressed like a junior Yakuza. The part where he mentions Peter DeLuise went through a phase of lighting his own farts just cracked me up. What kinda' phase was that?!

This cast (and the guy from the 80s "Beauty and the Beast") were the first actors I knew as a kid. Oh, and Erik Estrada (CHiPs) too. Really good people you would want to know. Watching these 21... scenes and those from other older shows is kinda sad sometimes, though, TBH. Things seemed so dark in the 80s and 70s.

they lost out when they never knew about BARRY BLAIR'S SAMURAI, Dustin would have been perfect as the main character or his clone brother, who becomes a main character.

But the producers didn't quite hit the mark of the eighties in this remake attempt because they didn't cast Holly Robinson Peete in her original role. If you didn't think the show had that many fans before why did you an Asian guy who wasn't in the original show say yes to doing the movie? You had to know in some way that it was popular in order to accept the part so why are you now down playing that fact in this interview? Get real! In the words of Michelle Obama: "when they go low we go high." Yvette M.😊
