Within the time he actually takes to clip in we could of built a Submarine, the Vario on the rist, only because he can’t read it in the cockpit, plus the harness makes peoples eyes bleed….

Harness before helmet? Is that really what we should be demonstrating as best practice? Huge respect to Seb & Jocky for their experience and skills, but we should be demonstrating the basics correctly for others to emulate. The other point, about which I am less sure for this wing, is discussed but no definitive answer is given: straight wing layout as opposed to a horseshoe or 'C' shape for forward launch. For most wings, the latter option allows the centre of the wing to come up first which normally gives a better chance of a successful launch. On this launch you can see the tips come up first.

If your helmet is blocking vision to your harness it can cause problems in proper closing the harness. Especially with more complicated harnesses like the new Racing harnesses and/or an integral helmet. C-Shape on high aspect ratio wings like the Enzo3 will cause the middle to inflate, but the air will move quickly into the ears and will cause the ears to shoot. You will most likely get a frontal horseshoe this way. Depends on the wing though. With some of the new C 2 Liners you can launch normally in a C shape. What also helps for alot of wings with a "ears first" thing are only taking the inner A. ✌️✌️

Looks complicated brother and if you hook a better instrument like a Syride to your risers you have more and safely view

Interesting to see that he does an extra wrap of the brakes for launching.

Does it have to do with the steep slope? To keep the glider a little back of your head?

@@bulentkamali - It's a competition wing so they have very long brakes to prevent any tension on the trailing edge when gliding. I've just never seen the wrapping as part of the launch preparation.
