I take photos of entrances but not always with the kiddo. We did the free pass when our daughter was in 4th grade!! Get the pamphlets and READ them all. great tips. These are great tips people. The coyotes were cool. We saw one once but it was very early in the morning. We saw wolves near Slough Creek Campground which was actually closed (covid) but the rangers opened it so people could set up long range cameras and spotting scopes. This was a blessing because the wolves were the one thing my daughter wanted to see more than anything else. Kepler Cascades is one of my favorites. Thank you I never knew about bike paths!!! Still have not seen any grizzly bears. (been there 7 times). I have to go back again. and hike in the back country.

Here's a tip regarding your National Park Passport book: I was a volunteer in the visitor center at Cabrillo National Monument for several years, and people would sometimes leave their passport books behind or otherwise lose them and they would be turned in. In virtually every case, no one would write their name and contact information on the inside cover where there's a space to do that. There was one passport book that was filled to the brim with cancellation stamps from parks all over the country, and we had no way of getting it back to the owner. If that was my book, I would have been heartbroken to have lost it.

@WereintheRockies
3 жыл бұрын
Lol. Well, it’s crazy unlikely, although I have seen some elk scratch up vehicles. Not sure if the park gives reports on it, but I’m assuming that’s highly unlikely as well, mostly because it would be a miracle if a ranger saw it happen.

Are they letting you stamp passports during COVID time?
@WereintheRockies
4 жыл бұрын
Good question! The answer is: not really, because all the visitor centers are closed. There is a visitor center in West Yellowstone, but it is jointly operated by the chamber of commerce and the park service. They might let you stamp it there, because the chamber of commerce part of the building is open. There is also an information station in West Thumb that is open. I doubt they have a stamp there, but they might.

I enjoy your videos. I've seen quite a few of them and haven't seen any incorrect information yet, and I enjoy your comedy bits. However, this video needs one more tip, for those people who fall into the Touron category... * The Grand Tetons are NOT in Yellowstone.* So many Yellowstone videos have shots of the Tetons in them, and that is so misleading. Even National Geographic has done that. I mean, come on... If you're going to make National Park information videos, at least get your story strait. Specially if you have a world wide reputation to consider! :) I do wish NPS wouldn't euthanize every animal that Tourons interfere with. They should have called the Bronx Zoo about that bison calf that Tourons put it in their car because they thought it's mother abandoned it. They would have taken it, or found someone else to take it if they couldn't. There was no need to kill it.
@michealdraconis6179

Keep in mind, the animals here are wild, they are not pets. Don't try to pet them and don't get anywhere near them. Stay at least 25 yards away from them. Also, don't feed them.

😂 It clearly states no running on board walks. "Leave no trace" (lets wonder off the trails) And I dont think any ranger wants an accident to happen with children hanging out a vehicle. Sorry you felt the need to somewhat complain about the rules.
