Hey Steve, another great episode per usual. I would love to see some Dr. Layne Norton up in here to talk about stuff like this as well. Maybe a nutrition roundtable? Keep up the great work man.

I diet aggressive as fuck now. Realized low calories doesn't meal low amounts of food. I started eating 95% nutrient dense foods with 1 cheat meal every 2-3 weeks along with a PSMF day and some extended fasting thrown in. I do minimalist lifting to keep my appetite down. Thanks a lot for this video Revive Stronger!

Hey thanks for the videos ! What is thr lowest protein intake you can go whitout losing muscle in a rapid fast loss?
@ReviveStronger
3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't go under 1g/lb in a fat loss phase especially if you're being aggressive, and I would actually lean towards a higher protein intake than questioning what's the lowest amount possible :) - Coach Jess

@@ReviveStronger agreed. I usually eat steak or chicken with mushrooms, bellpeppers, broccoli and rice or potatoes, salads, and oatmeal or Greek yogurt with fruits. Any suggestions on how to improve food volume?

I prefer aggressive fat loss with high deficits and high protein intake. Works pretty well. Slogging for 4-5 months is a pain if you are 20 plus body fat.

@@ReviveStronger thanks for replying Sorry if I missed it but what are coach McDonald’s thoughts on long term metabolic slowdown after weeks/months of crash dieting which was argued to occur in the biggest loser study (The above comment was a typo, sorry)

I do not see him presenting evidence supporting his hypothesis. I did 1000 kcal deficit before and lost a lot of lean body weight and ended up binge eating. I think weight loss is difficult enough, add lifting and having a life and it gets much more difficult. He does not mention neat that plummets on a large deficit. His program most definitely will set u up for binging and eating disorders.

But that's on you though. Have the will power to not binge. Put the fork down.

Just crash diet at 1000-1500 calories with high protein for 90 days. You are done or do it for 6 months. I like the faster approach. Require more discipline though but the scale moves and the muscle loss is minor and you can regain it while maintenance or bulk.
