I've built my beach cruiser from many different bicycle parts and is a true custom work of art I put a lot of work on both bikes it wasn't easy but hope you like my custom work :D!!!

I have tried several of the electronic ones and even the wireless ones, they are junk! The last wireless one wouldn't send the speed data back to the receiver even with the sensor set close to it. I removed it and went back the mechanical speedometer and won't look back so now I have a practically new electronic one sitting around collecting dust. I do like the looks of the one you are using and will have to keep an eye out for one like it!

gasbike mentions that 26" bikes are too small for this motor unless you get a short head for the motor and even then its still tricky to mount the motor. They recommend getting a 29" bike. www.gasbike.net/products/212cc-death-row-bike-engine-kit-4-stroke

Hi, did you have to modify the frame at all on that beach cruiser? I've been considering a similar build for years, but 4 things are stopping me. 1, I don't know if I can bolt this thing to a Huffy Cranbrook frame. 2, I don't trust spoked bicycle wheels on bikes like that anymore, and the hub-mounted sprocket adapters never seem to fit a Walmart bike right, but do aluminum mag wheels really hold up better? 3, if I have no room to pedal, how much get-up and go does this engine have with the stock Death Row (kit from that same site) transmission not wearing belts out fast or getting less than 60MPG with a larger rear sprocket and lower speed than I want, to compensate? 4, can I adjust the engine on the mount for proper chain-line if I run out of spacers between the back wheel and sprocket? I know this Predator brand about as well as Craftsman or Subaru, so not really much at all, so what are the odds I'd have a problem with the kit 15 or so miles from home 1 time I'm traveling 50-90 miles out to visit a friend or on my way back? 5, I feel kinda spoiled in terms of reliability and MPG, lately. After years of messing around with those finicky Chinese kits, I've been running the 25-35cc Honda engines with high quality friction drive kits from Staton-Inc and Bell Kevlar tires with inverted tread that don't get chewed and popped by the drive rollers. Those kits are slow (16-28MPH with my body's 200 lb. weight) but they're easy, mostly maintenance free, reliable and extremely efficient. 100+ mile round trips every week for over a year per $400 kit that's shipped to me faster than gasbike.net free shipping, bolts on easy if I simply drill a 3/8" holes in each of the 2 mounting brackets for mounting right on my stock wheel's axle, starting in 1-4 pulls any time, taking a squirt of starting fluid and about 15 minutes to warm up in colder weather, riding rain or shine, no slipping or breaking a sweat as long as there's gas in the tank and no snow or ice on the road, 16-17MPH average and 99-139MPG, even allowing for pit stops. So, are we looking at another tortoise and the hare conundrum or are those gasbike.net Predator-based kits all fast, reliable and efficient? Really, I'd be fine with resolving 4 of those issues on my own, but 1st I gotta get the damn thing in the frame, and I don't know if I can do that. See, it's between that, which is already about 3x the amount I spend per build, or spending 4x as much total for the build VS usual for both a front and rear mount 35cc engine kit, special request for each kit to be customized with a 1.34" drive roller to put the 3HP total power output to good use and 30+MPH (my desired average speed for shorter and easier calculated travel times), 1 gallon gas tank, brass tee and longer lines to split the fuel between the 2 engines, a dual brake lever serving as my throttle lever for both engines, and mag wheels to handle the higher speeds better, but only about 50MPG if that estimation is even correct. Shit's complicated.
