This video is about the building of a 2276cc Turbo engine for a VW Beetle and is the 6th video in the restoration series. The link to AJ Sims' website is: www.lowbugget.com/
I'm not expert but it looked like the crank had its side Webb drilled for balancing. This is rhe weakest point of the crank and its just been made a he'll of a lot weaker. Material should have been taken from the center of the Webb where it doesn't affect strength.

You did it right. I just finished building a 2110cc 90.5 x82.. Having everything balanced and matched is so important. Cool build

A friend built me a 2276 stroker, how much do you think I should pay the man? I supplied parts but all his genius on the rest.

The total cost was about $7k, so if you deduct the parts, then that is what I paid for labour. Hope this helps.

It had to be someone that had their ass ported, it’s the only way they could get their head in so far.

I tried a few places here in Perth, but if it is not a V8 engine, they were not interested, so don't know.
