I must say, I’m a gay guy in the Midwest who believes in God and has found some incredible, liberal Christians that totally healed me from the hurt I had from the church of my childhood… you can individualize your faith and find likeminded people. The folks I met were so loving and didn’t give a flying fuck that I was gay. But we prayed with each other, loved each other, supported each other.. I believe that is the true Christian way. We all must love as god loves, and that means loving EVERYONE. The right wing fundamentalists have it so wrong and I feel so, so sorry for them. They have completely missed the point of Christianity.

OMG Meg Stalter is amazing!! This was such a fun episode. I loved the discussion of religion and spiritualism, ghosts and more. So much fun. To the person below who called it “bs,” I think you’re missing out by not having wonder, curiosity and the humility in life to think there might be more out there than you already understand or what science explains. Just because it hasn’t been scientifically established, yet, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. What about there may be being things beyond our ability to currently understand? Always strikes me as a lot of misogyny among my fellow liberals to assume the white male doctors already established it all for us in the last 100 years, after disregarding indigenous knowledge. Current research already knows it all. Keep using your Lysol as a vaginal douche, as originally marketed, even if it burns, until we let you know we figured out that’s a bad idea. So dismissive and paternalistic. Aka misogynistic. Also, isn’t that - against - the scientific method to assume we know it all now? Energy fields around humans based on temperature, mood, ph, health, and unknown reasons/ more than we currently understand are literally being proven true now… when the same thing, auras, are something that self-proclaimed “realists” love to poo-poo (on).
