We always add oregano, thyme and rosemary to our steam bowl (using the towel over our heads) those herbs have anti inflammatory benefits. ❤ also smells like soup 😂

YESss ma'am i definitely agree with you about getting a new prescription lenses put in my old frames. But if you have a 3 year old granddaughter that man handles them then its time for new frames. Lol This was a fantastic episode. I agree with about all of your ideas and suggestions. My insurance pretty much covers the cost of my medications. I do the wellness visits often with my doctor as a preventative health care. I can't really cut corners with my heart doctor or my breathing doctor. I've got to stay vigilant to over the counter meds because of my age of 70ish and high bp and the meds im on to control it. All and all i really enjoyed your episode . Thanks so much.. ❤

Fighting with insurance is NO joke. They can be awful, talk to your HR rep, and have them help. It's part of your benefits, and that's what they do, and they have better contacts to reach out to at the Insurance company. You can also file an appeal (95% it will get denied) and then with all your support documentation, file for a second level hearing. If you do believe that they are in the wrong, keep fighting it. Do not give up!!! Speaking from experience, they expect you to give up.

YES! Itemised bills are ESSENTIAL. The hospital charged me for my child's circumcision. I had a girl! I finally send a clear photo showing my daughter naked on the changing table and demanding an explanation of why - without my permission - they had performed a barbaric clitoral circumcision on my daughter! They finally figured it out and dropped the charge. The weird thing was that everyone kept telling me that it didn't matter, health insurance would pay. Yeah, they paid 40% of it and then billed me hundreds of dollars for a surgery that obviously never took place!

Some insurance companies offer rewards for notifying them of wrong charges. So a reward for you and they fight the charge. Worth checking for the future since you will now have 18+ yrs of health care for your little one.

Number 26: move to pretty much other developed country where healthcare is treated as an essential service/human right and is free at the point of delivery.

@@Ozarkmountainoutback1 I didn't say free. I said free at the point of delivery. Of course it is paid for. I will assume you just made an honest mistake and aren't being deliberately selective. I live in the UK. Here, it is paid for from general taxation and as a result everyone can access healthcare in the same way as they can the police, schools and other essential public services.

Hi Hillary. How much are the Fitty’s. I bought years ago a similar pair of sunglasses that go over my glasses from Costco. It was between 20-25.00.

I am overweight, have heart disease (partly congenital) and diabetes. My cholesterol has always been low for 43 yrs and my Hal/ldl are fine. Because I’m diabetic, the endocrine dr wants me on Cholesterol medicine. I agree to try it, but it made me so sick, I stopped. The dr won’t be happy but oh well.

If you’re interested in saving money on health care…ding ding ding….reduce the possibility of getting sick! How? By eating plant based. It’s cheaper on the wallet too! Much cheaper, coz meat is expensive! I’m a naturopath doctor.

I agree with you about the transitions in glasses. They take too long to revert back to normal so I wouldn’t get them again. I’m in and out of a dog shelter and it’s a nightmare with them!

Something else that helps is using ice on your back and up your neck. Have used it for 32 yrs. On multiple people. Used to just use a tile floor and you can use a blanket on top if you get chilled, now I can use a large icy pad.

Be sure to have itemized paperwork (from healthcare providers) and EOB (explanation of benefits sheets from your insurance providers) for ALL vision and dental charges on your FSA card because they WILL be audited. Sometimes those people act like you are spending their grandma's money...geez! 😂
