When you start a travel vlog about Asian food you absolutely can't skip on Vietnamese cuisine. Sadly I only planed 1 day to visit Ho Chi Minh City so to fill up on as much Vietnamese food as possible, I had to plan accordingly! Bahn Mi, Bun Bo Hue, Bun Cha Hanoi and more! I had to eat them all!
To be honest, after all our food adventures in Thailand it was hard to get used to the new flavors. We kinda missed the spicy chilly flavor a lot, so it took us a while to figure out what we liked about Vietnamese food. In this episode, we take you with us on our journey to find our favorite food in Saigon. The food in Vietnam has a great variety, so starting out in a big city and trying out Ho Chi Minh City's street food sounded like a good plan for us. After roaming around in the streets and the central market of Ho Chi Minh City we found our Vietnam street food staples: our favorite so far is Bánh mì. You can find this baguette sandwiches everywhere from fancy sandwich shops to old ladies selling it off a cart on the street. The quality and tastes vary just as much as the different vendors do. More consistent performance has another Vietnamese food, the famous Bun Cha. If you are into Vietnamese noodles, these are a must-try. Another dish we got to know was Bun Bo Hue, a noodle soup that is also famous for breakfast as the Vietnamese people like to start their day with soup.
