I had two employees that all they had to do was move inventory. After watching many surveillance videos of them sit down on the job having beers on the job and talking S, I went out and bought a forklift. When this item was delivered, these two got excited saying our work is going to be so much easier now. While they were practicing using the new equipment I retrieved the video tape of them sitting down on the job drinking beer. I also cut them there final check. Fat forklift did 100 times the work and never once ask to take a bathroom break. I plan on having several executive Optimus positions to oversee my human workforce.

I think we are looking at this wrong. Consider the robots to be a way to make humans more productive just like computers did. So instead of spending time cutting the lawn, doing dishes, laundry, etc., we can all work many hours longer at our jobs. This human labor can be taxed, whilst the robot labor isn't. That said, the menial jobs will go away and be replaced. How will we tax this labor when the corporations aren't paying taxes?

Today with regard to robots is identical to the day Tesla went public and tons of people bought the stock NOT for cars, but for FSD, and HoboTaxi. Those people 14 years later are coming close to seeing their investment bear fruit. The same will be true for robots. Those who invested for bots a few years ago will see some payoff in another 10 years. The stock will remain flat for a good 3+ years more before it starts a solid and unretrenchable move upward. Until then, the massive positive and negative swings will continue and day traders will continue making 100's of percent returns per year buying the very regular and predictable swings. Huge announcements and breakthroughs drive huge selloffs. Quiet periods with zero news, the stock creeps up very slowly. Oct 10 will be a giga-selloff for the stock, and a demo day for bots will be an unbelievable selloff... probably a good 20-30%

I just had an epiphany about Tesla selling vs leasing Optimus. Selling it once, like a car, wouldn't generate as much money for Tesla as leasing it year after year. So I had thought the smart thing for Tesla to do would be to lease Optimus. My epiphany is that Tesla could not only sell the Optimus (like a computer), but in addition, have a subscription price for the software that runs Optimus. I think Tesla should have multiple options for selling, leasing, subscription, and maintenance plans for Optimus.

It would benefit their credibiliy if they were a little bit more conservative in their estimates. I am highly optimistic about Tesla's future (it's roughly 40% of my portfolio), but when you start with wildly optimistic assumptions (some of which are actually wrong, e.g. assuming 10.75$ hourly wage on the world population, when in fact the median global hourly wage is closer to 5$ and in many countries globally between 1-3$) and then you put it in a higly optimistic spreadsheet - you get insane numbers, like half the Global GDP. Even if it was 10x less than, it would still be great - but taken more seriously. Not to mention that producing 2.8 billion robots at an optimistic rate of 10 milion robots a year , assuming there is even enough resources and capacity - would take 280 years.

Put the robot in a hothouse full of plants (tomatoes, say). Use the exhaust from the robot's engine to fill the air with CO2, supercharging their growth! The robot takes care of the plants, fueled by the engine exhaust until they yield crops, killing any pests that find their way in, and weeding and whatever you do to take care of plants. IDK. I'm a symbolic worker. I barely remember to go outside. Voila. Hybrid robot. The wave of our agricultural future.

What you have to understand is the cost of stuff will go down as the robots get better, so you will not get $2 million revenue out of a $40k robot if everyone is using them. I'm not saying it won't be happening...it has to happen...but the revenue will go down per widget. So the numbers you are showing are assuming only one company has the robots, and that can only be true for a very short time. Overall revenue may go up, but who will be buying the products if no one has a job, so a universal living wage will have to be provided making taxing the robots a necessity, which will reduce their return even more.

One of the failures of capitalism is to see labor only as a cost. A humanoid robot will be accounted for as a capital expenditure, with recurring maintenance costs and software costs. If we valued humans the same way and granted them each a capital allocation at the time of hiring the math comparing human employees to robot employees would be more straightforward. I think that the obvious concern about the growth of humanoid robots is that it will create billions of people who don’t have enough money to pay for the productivity of the factories where the robots work. In China, throughout the centuries when they were huge productivity gains, they were also large explosions in spiritual pursuit, like Buddhism, and things like the arts became more valued. I think someday soon we are going to really face the question of what it means to be a human being on global scale. One of Elon’s biggest fears is population collapse. it would be good to hear what he thinks about how the world will look as the productivity gains he is creating permeate society.
