This time lapse shows the history of the formation and dissolving of the rolling cloud at the centre line of the loch. You can also see a similar cloud coming from the Corpach branch of the loch being pushed seaward by the cold air from that part of the loch. At one point the cold air overshoots the bend and for a short time fog comes into the Fort. The reason the cloud always goes south is the cold air from the mountains is going down hill and to the warmer sea taking the cloud with it. A house with smoke from its chimney on the left side of view shows air flow.
