whoever is doing the captions here needs to be told that "medal" and "mettle" are different words. hehe. words, the stuff that's their job to be aware of and all.

not the same thing as "keyboard warrior" vs an input by one of say us. a closed caption's specific job is to know the language in which they're dealing with. here, that's gotta be like 6th grade or lower.

Is Jared's turn call with AQ no backdoor standard? I realize there are tons of draws that we beat but being OOP and having no interaction with the board facing this bet size isn't great for us, especially when Nick's polarized sizing implies that the river probably isn't going check/check too often.
@mbradycf

it beats all bluffs and there's only 6 bigs in the pot on a paired board. Can't be too bad to call with AQ. Granted we'll have to x/f the non club/A/Q rivers, but you're supposed to have folds on each street!
@Brazz27

If he plans on calling on better rivers, then its ok. But calling and hoping for a shutdown might be a mistake.

Solvers dont solve much, in my opinion. Then the other solver says something different ? Im not understanding how playing a one strict way is always right according to solvers. Llimp AQ, in the small blind is a bad play almost always
@jeffk862

Why not? If you raise you'll probably fold out weaker hands that you could get value from post flop on some boards. Or you limp and get jammed on and you can call it off being ahead most of the time vs a big blind all in. Obviously it's not something you do every single time but mixing it up is valuable especially against stronger players
@jeffk862

And saying solvers don't solve much is just wrong. Solvers have completely changed the game, especially amongst the best players

What do you guys think about Bleznick leading river there? He called turn so essentially he’s not believing Shulman has a 9 there correct? So 5 of hearts comes river why not lead fire river there representing a slow play 9 or pocket pair? As always great content and analyzation. Thx guys!
@abarone68

His combo itself isn't great to lead there for a couple reasons. 1) Doesnt have a flush or straight blocker 2) Usually we want to be leading textures that favor our range, given the action/board I don't think this one qualifies 3) If he's leading out with AQ, is the plan to make Shulman fold better? Or just to not get bluffed?

wtf is Bleznick repping if he leads river here? If you think he has 9x here then I mean, maybe poker is not for you.
@Simon-nv5zj

Schulman with the triple barrel is now repping 9x+ here. clubs missed, T8,J8. Its not good that Bleznick has the Ac, but it was also a limped pot so less likely Schulman has an A anyway. 56 hits river, pretty unlikely he is going to bet 350k into 450k with 5x though, a smaller sizing maybe. Bleznicks hand looks straight up A high, 4x, and a ridiculously played flush draw that bricked lol

Well to be fair if you normally play $1-$3 against awful players, none of this discussion applies to your games anyway. Poker is weird that way.
