Tip 22 is one the most important thing in prodution, sometimes put a limiter it will ruin and low the prodution, we must work for example with compressor and find a balance, but the most import is use a great headphones for production, than we have shure that the sound sounds good in car, club, an stereo, what ever! (Carlos, aka Cino Dj Cino (Por).)

Thanks Will- I'm glad I found you before you become huge, it's only a matter of time until global domination....I used to make music professionally in a different genre, but now it's been fun and enjoyable to get into production as a beginner again. All the lessons still apply....I just wanted to say that even as hobbyists, we can still be good and generate hi-quality stuff. I've let it be a gradual and organic growth process, each time I sit down to the DAW it is better than the last time. Each mix and master I have done, song by song is better than the previous one. Using the DAW is something that needs to be practiced in the same way as practicing an instrument or learning to sing. It takes time and I allow myself that time to improve and learn.

Here's one of my tips from over 60 years of doing this...... Check your mix on the cruddiest speakers you can find. I use a pair of 3 dollar home intercom speakers mounted on my console for final mixdown checking. Periodically get away from your reference monitors and listen on the cruddy speakers. That saves you the headache of making a ref. tape or CD, going out to the car, etc. to check the mix. You'll be amazed at the instant A/B comparison you can make. Adjust the mix on the cruddy speakers, go back to the monitors and the mix will still sound good.

why some people learn to do good mixes in one-two years, but another people spend ten years without getting too far from where they begun? And I can"t say first people are super-talented, or they have super-sensetive ears..
