Same but I am 62 and 2 yrs out from retirement. I have been getting my muscle memory back and messing around. Gonna take a class in the summer. (I am a teacher and summers are my practice being retired time) I can't wait until I REALLY have free time. Getting ready for it now. Writing down goals and keeping track. (I had a goal of sketching every day for an hour but so far managing every other day 30 minutes.) I am proud of myself and how quickly I am feeling comfortable and getting lost in drawing like I did in my school days and through my 20's. Just working on increasing time at it. Thanks Jess! Love your channel!

Jess, such a wonderful video and exactly on time - I watched till the end and noticed when you clasped your hands in gratitude for what you had accomplished - This was a hard one for you to complete and see through to the end, but you did it. You broke through a wall. Not a tall wall, but a THICK wall, which are the trickiest ones, needing endurance and patience. You looked for the wins and wonder in wach challenge. - That was very real and touching to me. I've been challenged lately in my art practice and this gave me the grace to keep going. Thank you so much!!!

Miss Jess, I really like the progression you took starting off with portraiture and then slowly fading into caricature and cartoon style expression’s! I believe Norman Rockwell(my hero) did the same thing although probably didn’t intend to go in that direction lol! Humor in art to me personally is truly a reflection of myself. I just love to make people laugh with my art but most of all, I love to see them smile!
