Coming from Vegas pro, right click the stop button and you can select to jump back where your pointer was before playing, just like Vegas. So if you have to watch a section over and over for whatever reason, take advantage of it and smash space hehe

@@MrAlexTech I find your style informative, to the point, straightforward to follow and replicate whilst avoiding the trend of trying to be a preconceived stereotypical KZitemr (i.e. annoying / hyperactive idiot) When I say I dabble, I've made a few clips for commercial use over the past couple of years. This month I will be filming a retail unit for a promotional online short using drone and a6300 footage. There are certainly parts of your videos that I would consider integrating. Aside from the dreaded colour wheels, it's the small everyday commands that your tips really help with. Things like why the transition won't sit on the join for example. I'm sure many people when starting out did what I used to and used the razorblade to cut clips exactly where transitions are wanted then running into the above problem. There are people like Casey that really know their stuff on DR, but they blast through with an expectation that the viewer has a certain level of proficiency. Great for those who are really into their editing, not so great for those of us that drop on and off it. Sure I learnt what I needed from them, but I really like both yourself and Vegan Dog's content like his Indian Jones style map tutorial. As for suggestions, a breakdown of the colour wheels for general correction from log rather then creating "a look" which is personal taste and maybe matching up a correction grade in a timeline consisting of both ground and drone footage which I suspect a lot of people have a need for.

Wow! Super helpful, thankyou! The most useful ones I didn't know about were [alt]+click to select only a portion of the track. . & , to move a whole clip back or forwards a frame The up and down arrow to move between cuts Using backspace to only delete a portion of the audio, but not affect the video. Drag and drop transitions, I've just been right clicking between transitions and adding the default cross dissolve, and changing it from there. I didn't know why the transition wouldn't pass into the other clip . [Ctrl]+B for a cut, I've been selecting the cut tool this whole time. Like 90% of this video basically. I'm going to have to watch it again

THANK YOU. This video was absolutely perfect. Loved it. Love that it was fast and to the point! Some peoples tutorials totally drag them out. I think you have just saved me HOURS of frustration! I have used used premiere pro, iMovie and many other edit softwares but just started using davinci resolve recently. I refused to pay the really expensive cost to adobe. I had pushed iMovie to the max and was asking a friend (who works in the tv industry) what else I could use and they recommended davinic resolve. Its very different but I am getting there. Videos like this REALLY help. Thank you again!
