just looking at this video's title I knew it would be suppressed by youtube. Being an African I know China is not what the West portrays , It urks me when I watch American videos on politics spreading these horrible lies knowingly and unknowingly, just pisses me off. I mean look at the views and look at the likes. What is it with the American people who so clearly are the most naïve people in this world to still believe what they are told so blindly and it is like they refuse to even listen to the truth. Brainwashing is truly a real deal. Thank you for keeping it real and 100%honest when it comes to the actual China and it's people

Great interview, appreciate your insights which MSM doesn’t cover here in 🇨🇦/🇺🇸. However, I am fed up with the apologetic “🇨🇳 is not perfect” mantra. We need to push back and challenge other countries with a rebuttal “Is your country perfect?” Based on the declining economies of the West, with increasing poverty, I think not. At least the CPC is doing wonders for its people, far more than Western leaders focused on their warmongering.

thanks for your insight , people from Shanghai a lot more influenced by the western “values “ , I met a lot of tourists from Shanghai before the pandemic, most of them had very strong ideology such as “ we Chinese never had one person one vote systems” ,” I am really like the democracy of the USA” those people made a lot of money in China but never appreciated the facts and keep smear their mother land , have zero clue what happened in the west , yes some area more difficult to make money in China that’s because in the last 40 years, they make money too easy and today these areas are not easy anymore, such as real estate, low end manufacturing etc , they don’t want upstate their economy mode and try to find a excuse for their American dream since childhood, most of them I met just sent all of their money to USA and bought a big house and enjoying the life, they don’t care the homeless people everywhere because they don’t live those areas . If I was CPC I wouldn’t allow them to send money to overseas to smear their country every day like “ China is communist country and I don’t feel my money is safe blablabla . Those are not good human beings, some of them live in China in their whole lives but know nothing about China, some of them even smeared “ the Covid was created by CPC “ , I was sick of them

"Unlike Hongkong, which has an increased inequality, ridiculous high property prices, and high cost of living." True. A lot of issue had already existed before 1997 and could be contributed to the "legacies" from the British colony era. Quite a large portion of housing properties are owned by the establishments from that era (who were likely benefited from British governance). Such "legacies" is like a minefield that has so many complications. It will take quite some time and delicate work to change these while not completely pissing off the establishments (any society still needs to attract rich people to invest). The HKSAR government is the one makes actual policies in Hongkong and could have done a better job. But with bias media and a lot of twisted narratives from local Hongkong media and western media, young generation of Hongkong people simply blame the main land China government for all these problems. Some portion of this young generation of HK people envy how well nearby Shenzhen is doing economically while are seeing not much hope for their condition to improve. Devils (or truth, and solutions) are often in the details, and the young generation usually demands solutions now and could care less about the details.

@@mimikolomamu Why not? I use VPN here in Australia when conducting business online too. Even You Tube is not as "innocent" as there are sites such as "serpentza" and "WION" as well as those that are virulently anti-China, propagating misinformation (lies) about the country and the people). The CPC regards itself as a responsible parent to its people and responsible parents try to ensure that their children are kept from sources that would affect them adversely. However, while VPN is not legal in China, it is not illegal to use it. Consider too, the "Dark Web" - why are there people in the West who'd want to access that very dark side of the internet? Shaun is really speaking the truth about China. I am really surprised and impressed that I can tell Shaun has 100% no prejudices which is really good for me to see that. I've seen lots of foreigners that coming to china making vlogs nowadays, but most of them just tryna make some money out of it, they ain't really speak something that are really insightful points with 100% honesty, all they tryna say is how great it is to living in chian and how much he loves China, all I know is that he's making bank with that fake patriotism, and he knows chinese people loves to hear that shit, so for this meeting I really appreciated that how precious is this meeting about, straight to the point, real talk right there, good sides and bad sides all comes to the table. However China still has a long way to go and there's still a lot of areas and policies that need to be enhanced and adjusted in the future. Maybe it's gonna take 5-10 years or even longer but it's all just a matter of time. All I can tell is China and the Chinese new generation is ready to embrace the world with peace, everything is just gonna be better, and that's fasho. But I do agree that chinese people and chinese government really need to learn and being open about criticizes, but what I really believes is that as long as you really speaking the truth and really trying to improve the society and policy system, without deliberate fabrication of false news and rumors, I think chinese people and chinese government are willing to accept and learn from it with humble manner.

@skytraderinternational Until I retired, I did business with China for 25 years from Australia and I concur as well. The various businesses I did there were not interested in talking politics - not once, ever. They were only interested in talking business and conducting business on a fair and equitable level. If and when a mistake has been made at their end, they have always been extremely quick to admit fault and fix the problem immediately - no excuses, no pontificating, no arguments, no debating, no procrastinating - and we loved that. I have also been dealing with some large American firms and unfortunately, their treatment is very much different towards their customers which was based on a position upon who dominates whom in a business meeting.

Thank for this video, Cyrus & Shaun. It’s good to hear the truth about China from 2 Americans. To improve relationships with China the US needs to do the following: - Respect China or any other nation. Don’t impose the American system of government, American values & beliefs etc on another nation. - Lift all sanctions against China. - Stop trying to contain China’s peaceful rise. - Remove all the warships, submarines etc from the South China Sea, under the pretext or bullshit about “freedom of navigation”. China has used these waters to trade with the world, for centuries. Why would China not allow freedom of navigation?? - Stop publishing fake news, misinformation etc against China. Work with China for shared prosperity & peace.

I was duped by Biden and thought he'd be better than what we just went through. In many ways and especially of note is the warmongering he's much worse. I can't believe Im saying this but we would've been better off with trump. Lives would have been saved even though our country would've continued its slide. Also I too was welcomed by the Chinese when I thought they had every right to reciprocate the hate we project on them
@George-rj4fj
Жыл бұрын
@SebStan-dd8ed Unfortunately, Biden seems to be beholden to the US MIC - Military Industrial Complex - and the Pentagon with its warmongering Generals. On the other side, Trump may not be the brightest spark in a piece of flint but he is certainly not a friend of anyone who want him to bend to their wishes and he opposes those who wants to control him. Hence, he is not as easily controlled by the MIC and the Pentagon. On the other hand, he appears to be two-faced when it comes down to dealing with China where he'd oppose their rise and yet, does business together with his family members with them on the other.

My Chinese friend is coming to visit Canada. His tourist visa was held up because the Canadian civil service was on strike and officials were, stunningly, not prepared for post-covid high volume of requests. The airplane situation mentioned in the show, and all other perspectives, was truly reported according to my contacts and experience in China. The 0 covid policy was extreme and damaging to key areas, different than in Canada, which was equally damaging nonetheless.

Thank you for the interview. Shaun's on the ground insight is indispensable. Unfortunately, I agree with him that the next few years may be rough and may be even cataclysmic if some individuals are willing to bet the world's future by crossing China's red line. From an economic and survival standpoint for China, I believe a very good foundation is being built with the multiple complimentary resource rich and manufacturing deals that were made with all of the developing nations, including Saudi Arabia and Iran. I am hoping that the economic fruits from the BRI will begin to ripen and enrich all the nations that are participating. I got the sense that the CPC is building up defenses for the worse case scenario, even if one wishes very much for events not to continue to veer in that direction. However, I would rather that the CPC lead China to war than for China to be bullied by the US and its cohorts.
