The 6.2 V8 was a great engine it’s a shame Ford discontinued it in 2022. I’ve seen plenty of them run over 300k with basic maintenance and these are in Superduty trucks that get worked a lot.

Many of the Gen 1's with the 6.2L go beyond 300k without a rebuild. If you do need to rebuild 1 there's always the Livernois 6.6L stroker short block available. That combo will take 800-1000 HP all day long..

Great review. Love My 2013 with 208k still Runs strong. Jump it daily def more than 200 times. Full send 90 mph any time I see fit. Never needed an alignment! Changing out the 16 plugs can be a pain. New wires and coils. No major issues at all. Still OG shocks. They are beast. I thought raptors were hype before I owned one. Owned many many other trucks. This one will stay in the family. The front posi and rear locker really dominates other trucks without tru 4x4 from factory when in sand mud. I don’t trust an eco boost. Give me a boss any day! Simple 5 star 93 performance tune helps too

I have a 2013, I agree with him that these are the best wheels. I have the same ones and opted for these over the beadlocks. Everyone seems to want to put aftermarket wheels on them, but I've always loved the stockers on my 2013. Just hit 100K on it. Been an awesome truck. I intend to keep it until one of us dies. I love seeing people talk about their high mileage ones, even seeing some with over 350k. Makes me feel all that more confident about mind holding up for the rest of my life. Just have to take care of your stuff and it lasts a long time

One with a trailer moving one of my kids to CA. It has 238 k and I trust it to go to CA and back again. I got 2 raptor 6.2 and 1 Gen 1 raptor, 5.2. All are in great great condition. I’ve had a 2010 6.2 raptor for 12 years at 160k miles. Had power steering hose blow out in cold weather that was defective. Front seat warmer went out pretty quickly. Sun roof clogged up. Read camera can be finicky and is expensive. Had cracked radiator cooler that was defective. Had transmission slipping. Rear pinion bearing go out after towing a boat. AC blows ok cool, compressor needs changed. Spark plug job is a pain, 16 plugs 500$ job. Shocks are high, recommend them to be changed out every 50k. Front torsion bars had to be replaced cause they rattle like crazy. I keep it maintenance myself. It’s a good truck. Never stranded me. Just had a few things mess up. It’s a money pit. 12 mpg average unless you drive like a pa-jina 😂 then you’ll get 13 mpg. Most of my issues are common in it. It rides rough when going slow down city roads even with fresh shocks and struts and undercarriage work. This is just my experience with over a decade in the truck.

Not only me who had issue with BCM. Transmission is going to die, in low rpms kicks. Back window doesn't work. Bunch of cut cables between door and pillar. Wheel bearing toasted. CD player stop ejecting CDs. High pressure hose from steering pump leaking (in all my Fords :D ). Known issue with valve springs - they are to weak. Known problem with fuel pump fuse.
