It probably helps if they were wearing some kind of chest and abdominal protection/armor. That way they weren’t pushing into sensitive abdominal organs…. Pretty uncomfortable looking….😅

It's Greek because Ptolemaic Egypt was a Greek successor state and it's scholarship was almost exclusively Greek? That's like saying that chicken Tikka masala is an Asian dish

He said it was described by a Greek Egyptian. The idea is thought to be older and from Greece. The description he based this construction on was written in the 1st century by a Greek Egyptian.
