With the money I could save staying with a long term lease I would choose the first one! I'm a minimalist! With the extra money I had every month I could make that apt very homey and comfortable 😆 I also would have a crap load of extra money to enjoy myself and eat way good seriously free internet and electricity! Wow I had to rewatch the 1st one 5 times only concern is was the internet and water pressure good at the 1st one. Thx for sharing Dan you're awesome dude! Stay safe and be careful of volcanoes 😆

I think this really shows the poverty there because by LATAM standards, these seem VERY OVERPRICED IMO. I would think Mexico is a good bit more pricey yet the rentals are MUCH NICER. I know where I live in Mexico that for $600 I could get a fully air conditioned brand new 3 bedroom 2 bath house for less OR with all services for $600 in a VERY nice area! I am really surprised by this. And Ecuador has much nicer and is even less expensive than Mexico from what I've seen available online(and that is including AIRBNB surcharges!). I'm currently renting a really cute house in a great neighborhood and with all services it's less than $400 month. 3 parks within a 5 minute walk! clean clean clean

Been there TWICE, 2 mos. apart. Studied Spanish at excellent schools w private teachers (the norm). Very inexpensive. I liked Hostal Antigua better than the hotel. Holy Wk. was incredible, but my wallet was stolen. It's my fault. I carried ALL my valuables on my BACK, in a flimsy baller bag (nylon sack). It was extremely crowded. I did not feel that someone slashed my bag and pulled my wallet out. Thankfully, they left my passport. I had to get a new driver's license; blocked all my cards, was not even able to buy water (ALL my CASH was in the WALLET too). I still had the best time!!!!

I didn't really think these units were to nice. Are American style condos or homes reasonably priced there? What can you get for $1000 or $1500 per month? Any pools and bi weekly cleaning? Golf course or community pools, air conditioning? gated? Thanks, I like your video's. I want to move to Porto, Lisbon or Faro Portugal in 10-20 years when I retire. II'd also want a car the freeways there in Portugal were excellent. I loved it there, visited 2x for several weeks each time 3 & 5 years ago. I also stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Vila Galé Collection Palácio dos Arcos, it was pretty expensive but I figured why not stay in style as I probably wouldn't return for 5-10 years. :-) They have an awesome heated pool and so beautiful there. The first time I went to Lisbon was in January 2018 so off season I had excellent rates under $100.00 per night or around that price. I stayed at Hotel Vila Galé Cascais
