Part 26 and the last of a series charting the history of West Ham United during the four and a half years of Billy Bonds' management.
After a difficult period in the New Year and a disappointing cup exit to Luton, West Ham find their mojo again, away from home at least. At home there are no wins in the last four of the season with defeats against Everton, Blackburn and Liverpool, and a 3-3 draw against Southampton on the last day. Away from home is a different matter though, a win against soon-to-be-relegated Oldham, fills a tasty sandwich of wins at Tottenham and Arsenal. A draw at QPR sees youngster Danny Williamson make his full debut. Overall a satisfying season but a slightly bitter taste at the end as Tony Gale is released on the morning of his testimonial after 368 games. Fans wave goodbye to the North Bank and the terracing on the East side of the stadium not realising that they would soon be waving goodbye to Billy Bonds himself.
