I have not taken CX for a while now. The price is less competitive although I still appreciate the service (not sure now). People ( or HKer) need to see the composition of the management. HK in general is losing the status, which is sad. You see what happened to CEO. You can switch to another air.
I was offer a cabin crew HKG base after the 2nd interview back in 2003. I read through the employment contract thoroughly and had my 2nd thoughts joining this company. The allowance wasn't too bad back then, comparable to SQ/TG/BA/LH. Ironically my whole macro view about aviation industry was changed after 911 and SARS. How this world will change so fast and so violently. What do I see 5, 10, 15 years down the road? I decided to rejoin other airline but not in front line. Rather doing more human necessity demand call e-commerce. Covid19 caused our economy to shift from one end to the other. Many industries will have to remodel themselves, and they have to do it quick. We can't even afford to take a blink. Sadly CX is just one of the casualty.
In fact, how to achieve sustainable development is an important topic in our today's society, especially the impact of AI. In other words, COVID-19 can help many people have the sense of crisis, which is better than they would be replaced by AI in the future. At least we are young and we still have the chance ~ isn't it?
