Once artists take more than just pretty pictures but pursue a need to see, experience, feel and understand, it gets really interesting. Thanks for introducing Leia Ankers to me Brian. Those photos are truly touching.

Another beautiful experience of a video man, that bird on branch shot at 3:29 is so rad. Cool to hear how Maria Lax influenced your take on the extent one can go when processing an image to create a feeling too, such killer work all around. That first Leia Ankers portrait as well is just TRANSCENDENT , and again beauuuutiful video man

Yeah, Florida always gives me the weirdest vibes like I am watching a bad film based on people who advertise on billboards. You might want to read a couple of Carl Hiaasen's books before your next trip there. Hope you ate at Snack Jack's. I believe in pushing the envelope in looking at different photographers work. I may ultimately not personally like the work but I still respect the dedication and different viewpoint.

I live in Florida, (few miles south of Flagler Beach), and it is a real problem taking cameras from the A/C interiors to the humid outdoors. I made a box that I use an old blow dryer to "soak" the camera and lens with warm air for a few minutes before taking them out. This works great. As a Floridian, I stay in the house until they start advertising Pumpkin Spice flavoring at Dunkin Donuts... by Halloween it will be down in the high 80s.

@@BryanBirks downtown is where it’s at if you want to do some photos. I use to live on a boat right in front of the fort. Really wish I had done photography as a kid when I was living on a boat. The town was smaller, less gentrified, and a lot weirder. The coffee shop Kookaburra is amazing if you dig dirty bean juice! I love it. The nest place to eat is Taco Shop and Pizza Time. I’ve had pizza all over America, and I’d say it is some of the best pizza I’ve had. The Sicilian is incredible. After that, Sarbez for their arcade, indie scene, and bombass grilled cheese. Across the road is Hornskis which is a pub designed to look like a house with a kitchen to hang out, buy drinks from their literal fridge, and listen to records. It’s weird now thinking I’m naming off restaurants to try and talking less about photography. Sorry, mate XD I’m just pretty boastful about home.
