/ 2cellos / 2cellosofficial 2CELLOS Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser performing Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana at the EXIT Festival, July 2014 Dusan Kranjc, drums
2cellos is a really revolutionary and extraordinary band. Thank god some people still uses instruments to creste music! :)

create? no...more like interpret other people's original work..unless they have some originals that i am not aware of,they are simply just another cover band,very good,but a cover band nonetheless.

johnydeltablues These are covers. So technically they aren't creating 'new songs' but they ARE creating 'music'.

Erkin Şahin whatever..i still think they are wasting their talent and potential on these covers,i would love to hear some original compositions from them,but those are much harder to create,and attract far less audience.

I wouldn't get to ahead of yourself, 2Cellos isn't the first to do this sort of thing, apocalyptica is an all cello Metal Band and have been around since the mid 90's.

I'm hoping these guys will encourage people to really enjoy music. I know plenty of folk (including family members) who say they don't like classical/orchestral music and hope they, by listening to artists such as these, will open their minds and give orchestral instruments a second chance. Real musicianship (music appreciation) starts with learning the classics and being open to all kind of musical styles...wanna-be musicians should listen and absorb everything....pop, rock, metal, rap, hip hop, jazz, commercial, classical etc, etc.....

Love it! At 1.29-1.33 Stjepan modifies the original notes, brings a new chord into the melody - only by semitones, but it changes the mood of the song for a few seconds; At (about) 0,41: I hear a few (maybe 3) strange, high notes, it's like a flick or is it maybe a sign to Luka, when to end and start with the new part ? Finally at about 2.21-2.23, I like it so much, that Stjepan goes so near to Luka, that they can touch each other by hair: it is like a kiss or a hug:-)
@ZeroFoxGiven0

Yes, at 1:29 it sounds like Turkish or Indian music with those chords.

@pucsesz
Egymástól függetlenül, két különböző interjúban, mindketten használják ezt a kifejezést: "and the chemistry worked".
@ZeroFoxGiven0
Ildikó Pucsera Persze, a koncert hevében a legprofibbaknál is előfordulnak mellényúlások. :)
