what about hte distanceS? are they scalar? meaning no negative and positvi signs? thanks

The distances can be treated as a scalar if you respect the sense of the moment (CCW positve, CW negative) about the reference point. Another way to approach the problem is to use the formula M = Fy * x - Fy * x where Fy and Fx are the forces in the y and x directions and x and y are the distances to said forces. In this case, you would have to respect the signs (e.g. positive Fx is going to the right, negative Fx is to the left; positive y is above the reference point, negative y is below). This second method is necessary if you were writing a computer program or putting this into a spreadsheet. The first method is more intuitive for doing the problems by hand, but requires you to evaluate the sense of the moment.

I know you got perpendicular d, but isn't the question to find moment of force, which is 460Nm?
