I went through 2 iterations in an hour and didn’t make it past the sketching 😂 Nevertheless, I made leaps and bounds in understanding constraints and I am pleased with that. Lots of work still left to do before I enter a tournament #TTT2025 👀 Thanks Toby!

Hi Toby, Just few questions so I understand your drawings better (this is not a critic): In cross section A-A you mentioned that the “steel part geometry matches plastic part geometry”. In that same cross section one can clearly see that the steel part matches the curvature of the other part. I am confused about cross section C-C: If the same applies there: I can’t see it: I see a flat bottom steel part and the 4 mm indicates what? The only way that’s true is if the metal part also fallows the curvature in C-C plain. The difference here is small (0.25 g), but if you only allow 0.2 g tolerance: I’ll take anything. After doing this model twice and each time being constantly over by 0.5 g, I started to look and understand what could be implemented differently. The only way I was able to get the correct mass was if I ignored your instruction “Steel Part Geometry Matches Plastic Part Geometry” and allow for fitting tolerance where the steel part inserts into the plastic part. Even your drawing is showing thicker line there. Is that what you are indicating there? Anyway, with 0.02 mm fitting tolerance I got 0.015 g error (627.784562 g). In cases like this: Is this a common practice or am I inventing things? As always: Enjoying the challenge (this is my 163rd practice model from your channel). Thanks Toby
