Hi When i set the channel to auto on 160mhz its disconnect daily one time. why? should i change the channel?
@VanTechCorner
Жыл бұрын
Hi, there are 2 reasons: - Your phone / PC’s wireless module doesn’t work well with 160MHz. - Router issue (channel, firmware). For the channel, I suggest using auto first. If it doesn’t work, you can manually set a channel.

@@VanTechCorner Its not from devices because whole net is disconnect on all devices. maybe from router firmware or need to set the channel manually. witch channel i have to use on 160mhz and will try. thanks

@@VanTechCorner This message from router when i chose 160 mhz : When your bandwidth is set to 160 MHz, Wi-Fi will always use the DFS channel, even if you choose a non-DFS channel or the "Auto" option.

There is no way to use 160 MHz without involving DFS channels.

One important thing to test will be wifi speed degradation over distance and with walls in between?

This test was done with the PC 1.5 meter away for the AP. We can’t expect too much from this “little” travel router, yet the actual performance is very good though. I will have another video to demostrate this.

It's main use is as a travel router. I have it and the range is more than enough for that. I use it with 2 phones, 2 tablets and a Chromecast.

I have this router and I absolutely love it. I use it when i'm on the road, working from hotels or airbnbs etc. I'm so impressed im even thinking of replacing my home Opnsense router with another one, but I wondered what it's total throughput is since I have 2gbit fibre at home.

Yup, the "travel router" series from GL-iNet is actually very powerful. I am running the GL-MT1300 (Beryl) at my parent's house and it has been up and running for days.
