Dude - thank you for making these videos with all the torque specs etc. I’m currently doing the same with my 2J but being a beginner it’s super helpful watching you go through it. Keep it up bro

Wish I would’ve seen this video before doing this on my car, I didn’t know about the two Allen bolts behind the vvti side, and I ended up snapping them off

Ive spent the last month wondering why they were marking everything... Then I had to consider if I was missing something or was everyone getting the same source of information... The red flag was when they start talking about laser alignment etches from the factory... In the year 2000 they were custom building lasers to etch and align a U groove and and extra bolt hole? Did they have this thing around from the dot and dash timing marks and figured if we do this like that, we cant stick it to anyone who opens it up? Like a booby trap? Is everyone missing theres 5 points to line everything up already, and they they're threaded. The u and extra hole should indicate on side being opposite the timing marks... I still trying to understand the o ring inside? There is a second one in the gear as well... And the replacement came with 2 o rings. I doubt it was cause the sellers were feeling generous... Am I trippin or is there some fu@kery afoot? Enough youtube for one day, hope everyone having a good day

@@suspiciousskepticism6306 Lol. That's deep! I was just making a point that there's literally a tool that holds the cams, and gears in place while doing the timing belt. And yes you are correct about those o-rings within the driver side ( vvti ) cam, it's a tedious task.
