Very good video D.J. That's how it is done correctly. I have been a professional forester for 45 years & D.J. is one of the best thinners I have ever worked with.

Hey six shooter man I really like your videos I just found your channel just a while ago but I like the way you explain to your viewers of what you’re cutting and why you are cutting it because a lot of people look at those trees and say well you should leave the bigger ones and take out the smaller ones but it don’t work like that on a second thinning but anyway brother I’m glad I found your channel and I will be watching your videos so keep them coming and y’all stay safe out there in those woods

Here in Ontario we have red pine plantations like this 2nd and 3rd cutting a lot will go for hydro poles and by that time they really like the hardwood to be getting do a decent size so then it can really take over with hard maple oaks walnut more of the high grade timber.
