I love how nana King was looking for the symbolism. They are chocked full of it from the sounds of some of the instruments sounds like horses or eagles, to the “iron” horses they rode in on. I’m not sure if they wanted to do the joining (again as Nana King points out) however they do have a song “The Great Chinggis Khaan”, who united the many tribes and made one of the largest and most powerful empires in history. Thanks for reviewing them. I’ve been following them since their first song dropped. Last thing, it’s “Tuvan throat singing” or “Mongolian throat singing” it’s amazing stuff.

As far as I'm aware (correct if I'm wrong!) all The Hu's songs are around Mongolian tradition and respect for their history and culture. The instruments are all based on traditional instruments (the two-stringed fiddle with the horses head for example). Their music is more folk than straight metal, and while it doesn't have the same runaway power as your average heavy american band, I always find something special in those deep throaty vocals and the accompanying drums and strings.

The Mongolians were the most feared conquerers of most of Asia and Eastern Europe in their day. They lived and died by the horse hence the instruments with horses. They have an Americanized/Modernized version of this song with Jacoby from Papa Roach. They are essentially Mongolian Patriots. Hi Grannies! Love you for doing the Hu, this band sound is one of my favorites. Though yes it's a bit more folk metal than heavy metal, it's still metal. Generally the theme for this piece is a theme of warriors, that they have and will continue to fight. As their ancestors did on horseback and they continue to do on metal horses. It's also a bit about leaving the past behind and embracing the present and future. Don't just dwell on what fame you had in prior battles, but keep fighting! Hope you check out more of their songs, they have a great theater/movie feel to all their videos!

Exactly - the Great Mongol Horde has traded their one horse power ride for several hundred horsepower :) From one granny to another - I loved it from the first howl.

A very proud people currently being oppressed! This band’s music is a cultural call to gathering! A Mongolian circling of the wagons if you will! A call for the people to pull together and rise up as one! ❤️
