Guys: The reasoning behind Feliks laughing is that if you have one side misaligned at the end of a solve (45 degrees-180 degrees) two seconds are added on to your time. It happened to me and many others. It really screws up your average. Feliks laughed becuase of the almost +2... He said "thats good" because it was not a +2. kthanxbai

That's because the display lights can't instantly turn off, so some bars from a lower time are showing while the higher time is also showing. So when the 10s place transitions from 4 to 5, the bars for 4 and 5 are both showing for a fraction of a second, which looks like a 9 on a digital display.

Hillkill Getting that time on 2x2 is totally believable. Lol scrambles happen on 2x2 pretty often. I don't practice 2x2 at all, and I average 8 or 9 seconds, but I still have a 0.48 (with a scramble from a legitimate scrambler) that was a 1 move solution. There is no reason to question someone getting a 0.70. It happens. Often.

It's because the timer display can't change quick enough to show every millisecond go by so it only changes roughly every 0.2 seconds. The timer itself is still timing accurate to a millisecond so even though the display had rounded up to 0.98 before the timer had stopped, the actual time was only 0.88 according to the timer and so once the timer was stopped the display changed to show the exact time
@sovietonion4143
8 жыл бұрын
By watch in 0.25 speed, I saw 0.40 --> 0.98 --> 0.53 We can see 0.98 if we pause at the right time because the number 0.40 and 0.53 overlapped when the number changed
