sure becuase that %4 return is SO worth it. When the stock market tanks.. or..when the dollar goes hyper inflated ... or if a solar flare, emp , terrorist whips out the electric grid and your visa debit cards wont work, the banks lock up due to not being able to fulfill customers withdraw requests..ATMs are overrun... you can use that know it all attitude to buy gas, food, ammo and medicine. THat dead money he sits on will be the ONLY money not if but when a major catastrophe occurs sometime in the next 20 years. Not so crazy if you realize in the last 100 years wejust in North America have had a stock market crash, leghty depression, modern recession that saw precious metals skyrocket and 401K plans destroyed AND a solar flare so severe it ignited telegraph wires and poles.. that if had hit in modern day would have crashed our grid and satellites. Keeping plenty on hand is smart, sure invest but NEVER turn your nose up at stockpiles of precious metals where you have access in any situation.

I got started almost 2 years ago with my stacking, but really didn't think of it that way until recently. I looked at it more in case the dollar goes south in my time. and if not, can be left to family (lol buried treasure). In my short(?) time building what I have is no where near your accomplishment, but there's 560 ounces of silver and a little over 23 ounces in gold. And if the buck simply hightails it, the jewelry purchased for my wife over the years has always been of high quality stones, and some loose ones as well. At some point I need to try and put up a video like you have. It looks like you're quite proud of it. Real nice stack, sir!
@TheSilverSlacker
7 жыл бұрын
Wow that is awesome! Great job and 23 oz's of gold it quite a feat considering how much more it is than silver! You should be very proud of yourself!
@Glasher1
7 жыл бұрын
Ty sir. Like I said it was a means to care for family if the dollar goes south, so I'm a bit on the fast track compared to income. Recently though, I'm beginning to focus more on objective than appearance. I'm also wanting to keep it portable and versatile. I'm liking the Valcambi CombiBars, both in gold and silver. I keep a gold one in my wallet. Some yrs ago I started keeping a 1oz gold coin in my pocket just in case. And it happened. I ran across a truck for a fast sale that was quite the deal. there was two others also looking at it. I gave him the coin to hold and said I'd be back in 2 hours with the cash and if I wasn't he was to keep the coin. Of course I drove the truck home. The Suisse poured bars in 50g & 100g are nice. A couple of Englehard poured, one bar being 5oz. The feeling to be able to hold a chunk of your wealth in one hand is pretty cool! But what you have accomplished, sir, is impressive!

That's the thing though , I bought a lot at $25.00 and even a few at close to $30.00 , Now recently the price is $16.00 even though Spot is almost two Dollars less , The main thing is to have fun stacking because it is a great Hobby , Sure you can use your Silver to buy food if the Dollar go's belly up , but when your dead and in the ground the Silver stacks are no longer working for you unless you have hires that will inherit them right away , and considering how much you now have collected you need a Vault that is fire proof , If the SHIFT comes and your sitting there defending all of that , How will you get out to trade any for food ? , all you really need is about a quarter of what you got there and store up on can food and those 25 year shelf life foods and crank style radios , Still like you said your going to Flip a bunch as soon as Silver hits $18.00 or more , What I did was pre plan my funeral in case they can find my body no one has to spring the 8 K for that , I like looking at Metal and Silver is a favorite , I get the 35- 90 % stuff just because it looks nice , Happy collecting - Subbed :) QC

+Quaalude Charlie Thanks! Yeah my silver is well protected in a very large fireproof safe that is bolted to the floor. You can store quite a bit in a very small location, especially if you have a lot of bars. Besides enjoying my collection of silver I am mostly buying it for an inflation hedge / savings so when I retire I can still enjoy life. If their is a SHTF scenario I will be prepared for that also. Or at least more prepared than 99% of the people.

nice work Silver Slacker ! anything $16 and under looks like a great entry/re-buy for another long term run towards $50 ... back on the streets offering $1.25 over spot for bars & coins, getting about 50% so it's a great way to hedge for the next 5-10 year term, i feel weakness ahead so better to be prepared ;)

Silver slacker..wow stunning collection. I love those poured bars. Especially the prospectors and the tombstone. So so beautiful! I must ask though...since im still pretty new to youtube, are you not worried when you put your collection out there for the public to see?? Again nice collection, i give credit to all of you who invest in those metals. My investments goes into my homestead and living off grid. Thats my commodity!! Thanks for sharing

Thanks for your kind words Starry. As far as security I am not to worried about. I don't disclose any personal information what so ever on my channel. If some was to hack into my account and get my home address or my IP address I doubt they would even do anything with it. Most hackers can make more money just at their keyboard then driving 100's of miles to a home they will have to break into and most likely be shot or get caught by cops because of the alarm system. My silver is very secure so I'm not worried about any robberies :)

Silver Stacker...well Im glad your silver is safe. And I guess you are right..these hackers can make more money on the computer then robbing someone at gunpoint! You are doing a great job at meting your goals and investing in precious metals. SMART smart move. Ever get friends or family who look at you funny because you arent into the stock market with all those empty and worthless numbers on paper???

Starry Hilder I try to not talk about the economy and investing with friends and family. I just KNOW we are way to different in that aspect lol. I tried to bring it up just once and they had no interest what so ever, so I never brought it up again! :)

Silver Slacker lol coins precious metals stacking metal detecting jewelry and history nobody seems to care about any of it. It seems like our community on KZitem or IG or shops or "grandpa" are the only people that care. I've trued bringing it up at school and to family members. My parents support it. But they aren't into it. Its just my grandfather and I and some uncles in the FAM. At school everyone thinks I'm a nerd but and they think its cool hut once again don't take interest or care. But when the history finals come up I'm a popular resource. Very few people collect stamps. Are coins and precious metals next? Stacking scrapping and collecting are investments hobby's and I think they are very interesting. Lol Keep on stacking and collecting

With silver dropping, its gonna be painful. your down 18,240 dollars. So much for silver being a hedge against inflation. You lost 28% of your purchasing power in 1 year. you should have insured your long physical position by buying some SLV puts (32 contracts would insure your physical holdings) hopefully this only represents 1% or less of your total investment portfolio.

VIDEOSUPERHIGHWAY Only painful if he tries to sell not so painful when silver goes back up.
@videosuperhighway7655
9 жыл бұрын
Zack Kyran The problem is you cannot predict the pain. If he encounters a liquidity crunch and is forced to sell, he has to take what the market is willing to pay. Hopefully he has a big enough cushion of cash in the back so he would not have to worry about that. But I hear of people putting everything they have in silver then having to sell at a loss to pay for unexpected expenses.

Silver underperformed the S&P 500 over 30 years. Plus no dividends, nor covered call premiums that generate monthly income etc..

+dontblameme100 I've been playing the silver market for over 30 years. Anyone who says "you don't lose until you sell: is just a total noob. Only suckers bought at 25+. I'm slowly building a position again. But we'll see a lower low yet.
