I am a Hannah level climber or lower. I can really see how flexibility and hip movement attribute to good climbing by watching these attempts. Kudos to everyone involved.

Interesting to see on the hard move that hannah struggles with on the first problem sofya gets her left foot up and smears with it to decrease the distance and push in the right direction whereas hannah leaves the foot low which makes the move harder. One of those things you don't think to do that makes a big difference

I absolutely hate this "come on" every 5 seconds. When someone is climbing they are focused and determined to overcome the problem and challenge. People saying "come on" has zero effect what so ever for someone mid climb. like "oh, i was just about to give up even though i still had strength in me to finish, but now that someone said come on (even 2 seconds into a climb) I'm now gonna try harder!.

@@obZen327I think that kinda differs depending on who is climbing. I don’t really mind it but I also don’t hear it because I always have music in. It doesn’t help me in any way but I’m sure for some people it does.

That was great to watch. You can see Hannah progressing on the last boulder from struggling at the start to the first moves, which is great. I can relate to that, much more than to flashing a boulder as Sofya and some of the others (I only remember 1st places, sorry ;)) did. Great video and good job on the Slab again. Slabby Jo(sh)?

Depends really on a few factors, when you get to the higher grades it’s definitely better to be shorter, all the best climbers in the world are under 6 foot . 5,9 has been said to be the optimal height.

Does anyone have any tips on getting comfortable going to the gym and bouldering a lone? I can’t find people to boulder with since idk how to talk to people and the online group made to find climbing partners has barely any activity
@mollythornton4119

I recently started climbing alone and that first time walking into the gym is definitely the hardest. The thing that helped make me comfortable is the first time I went I participated in an instructor led session, this allowed me to get familiar with the regular faces and also broke the ice so I could dialog with some climbers of a similar level to myself. Since that first time it gets easier and easier and the more comfortable you get the easier you'll find it talking to strangers, at the end of the day you're all there to get better and have some fun!! Lots of people go to the gym I go to alone so that also helped me not feel like a billy-no-mates. If I didn't like the vibe of a gym, I'd try another :) Best of luck I hope you enjoy it!
